Come on DM ,Please appear on my the status sooon...................................... can't take this waiting anymore. I am hoping Insha Allah by March 15 i should get my passport back. Journey started on 17 May 2013. Really tense how the things are going to go post visa. Specially JOB in Canada...........

Thanks for the reply rawdah, is there any specific format for the authorization letter? does it need to be notarized and/or should be on a stamp paper?

I got visa few days ago,
My wife's past passport is miss placed, do we get any trouble to travel?

Send your PP through someone traveliing to India from USA with CIC letters/PPR and authorisation letter. Further your PP can be couriered to NDVO along with your wife's and kid's PP by Bluedart.

Once you receive PP with stamped visa, bring it to US with someone travelling from India to US with authorisation letter.

Dear Rawdah and stark

Please note indian passport and indian currency is property of indian government.[this is written in passports second Page] You can not authorised on it.
Sending or receiving passport oversese should inline with external affairs rules.

Stark, I would advise to visit indian embassy in USA and get clarify on this.
What if NDVO keeps. Your passport for long term or if your passport gets loss by friends, relatives.
You will be in big trouble in USA and for canada process. You will have to file fir in USA and apply for new passport in indian embassy in USA and then update to NDVO and then get visa.

What I suggest is you do your MR in USA and ask your family to do MR in India , once your MR is reached to NDVO ,come to India and visit NDVO personally and explain situation that you want to go back to USA , they will grant you visa based on your return date of travel which you have to show them as a proof.

I know this is expensive process to come in India , but on overhand it's fast and reliable and tension free.
One of my friend also did same way in past and he got visa in a week.

Admin i have applied under noc 2132 catagory
here are my details-
documents sent on - 30th july
received by cic 0n - 2nd aug
Got PER on - 31st oct
Got AOR on - 12th nov
Second line added on ECAs on - 14th feb " We have strated processing your application on 11th feb 2014"
please update my info on spreadsheet ..
I Have some questions -
1) when can i expect my MR and PPR ?
2) if there are any chances of physical verification ?if yes can anyone tell me from his/her experience that how will they do this?
3) As due to this PR process and sometimes due to personal problems i have to take leave from office on consistent basis.what will happen if they came in my absense?
