Hi ..For a family of 3 , 17,011 CAD was required.
I have shown 9,50,000 INR.
So according to the current exchange rate it will be only 16379 CAD approx.
Will this cause any trouble..?

Its not like that....Ur fund will be calculated according to the date at which CIC received ur application.
For Ex. If ur application is received on 10 May and if 1 CAD on 10th May was INR 55, then CIC will calculate according to INR 55 not according to INR 58 of today's date.

My CC shows a charge today, USD 1081 by "IMMIGRATION CANADA FSW". It's still in pending state, so I'd better wait for a day or two before making any final comment.

Congrats! Can you please let us know your NOC category?

Cheers!

I second it..... And they can consider avarage rate for year.... SO recent ups/down will not affect that much....:-) It is not written anywhere on site but I came to know after discussion with different consultants.

You yourself don't happen to be on the spreadsheet, do you?

Would you mind being an active and equated participant by sharing your details?

So that means it will be calculated based on average rate of Canadian dollar in this year ??

And does this proof of fund matter at this initial stage ?

I guess it would be required on later stage.. may b during MR or Interview or during landing...

Same thing happened with me. I was rejected for the same reasons in 2011. I could not prove my relationship with my uncle who is in Canada. I gave his PR Card and his utility bills from Canada. The biggest mistake was that I did not even gave his passport copy and my fathers passport copy which would have proved same father and mother for them ( my grandparents).

This time I have attached enough proofs and for sure this time it will be hard for the visa officer to reject on the the issue of adaptability.

All I am worried about is completeness?? :-[ :-[ because no one sees what they can see. Also they have the power in their decision because of law.
Hi pepto sent you a few PM please take ur time n reply to them
But this is getting really out of control now. Just keep on waiting ...waiting...waiting...waiting..God know how long more?

@ Nik
It is not calculated on average rate because for Canada 1 CAD is 1 CAD throughout. It is for foreign nations whose value fluctuate against their currency. So there's no point calculating average for each and every country from where a person applies and then considering the fund's actual value in terms of CAD.

Basically it works this way!
The minimum required (to-be-declared) fund is only valid at the time of filing the application to CIC and on that day's rate of exchange. If the fund is below the threshold, the file will be rejected and returned, else processed for other parameters. CIC knows the fund can go down and cannot be locked for the entire duration but they also know that you have a source of income and the fund will go up again. So the juice of the entire idea is they want the minimum required fund to be available at the time of application.

They might re-check the funds at a later stage once you are through with most of the road-map or when called upon an interview.
