Can someone please clarify the below doubts?

1) How do we change our mailing address for NDVO ? This refers to the address which is visible on the
ecas page after we login.

2) After we update them about the new address, how long will it take to update the ecas page with the
new address?

2) When NDVO sent the passport to us after stamping via registered, will we get any intimation
through email or mobile sms mentioning that 'your passport has been sent'? I am asking this
because there can be a case in which on the date of arrival of the passport mail, i am not available to
collect that. ie if i am not there at my mailing address for say 1-2 week. What will be the best
approach in such a situation.

so for changing address....you can send one letter to NDVO directly. ....no need to worry....once they will receive ....they will update on ECAS system. ....max in 20 days...as it happens in my case.....

smtimes ecas gets updates as decision made n aftrwrds passports r recvd bt in sme cases ecas gets updated later on.its yor responsibility to collect the passports..

Hi guys...need your advice

My son is a US citizen by birth and holds a valid US passport. His passport will expire exactly in a year from now. Would it be advisable to go for his passport renewal now. The concerns I have are as follows;

1. I don't have MR yet and not sure when will it come.
2. Passport renewal may take time. if MR/ PPR comes in between, it will hold-up the process.
3. If MR comes after passport renewal, I will have to inform NDVO. This may delay the process.
4. If i don't renew the passport until the PP gets stamped (whenever that happens), I fear that I may not have enough time on my son's passport as may be required by CHC. Not sure what will happen then.

Any help that can bring clarity to my thoughts is much appreciated. Thanks.

Another doubt I have is will my son need a PR to enter Canada owing to his US citizenship?

No need to apply for US pp now for your child. I have read somewhere that in the case of applicants with passports eligible for visa free travel to canada (like france, germany, us, australia nz, etc), the canadian consulate will not stamp the visa on it rather as they land, they process them for PR. So if this is true, then you and your wife will see a visa stamped on your passports but your sons passport will be blank.

PCC should be obtained from the place of domicile of the past year... so you should get it from anand. PCC may take 3-25 days depending on the amount of bribe you are ready to pay...

Can we update the address though the web using the case specific enquiry link?

The address, change link on the ecas site takes you to another page which has some general info. I am not seeing an option to change the address.Please help.

I am from nadiad, you have to apply for pcc from anand DSP office. you will get pcc form from DSP office of anand and they will take max 1 week to give you police certificate. You don't need to apply in municipal corporation.
