our consultant advised 4-6 weeks after sending the application, is when we can expect to hear about our app progression from CIO
has anyone else been advised the same from their consultants/lawyers

When i contacted my consultant after the forum horror happened after Marta's case they told me "Rest assured that we will contact you as soon as we receive a response from cic"
So, I am resting but still getting cic nightmares like submitting empty file to cic or submitting old Schedule 3 form or even sending the application without validating the Generic Application. One day i woke up and contacted my consultant to ask him if he is sure that he validated the Generic Application form before they send it. ;D

Wait for a while. . .hope for good.
nothing else is in our hand even CIC will not reply about statur in detail

again see if we see matra's case they might be on step 1 of checking forms. after that they may check eligibility based upon points and CAP availibility. (this is my view on their procedure.) so another 1-2 week we can hear form someone about their cc charged or PER mail

even last time also initial PER people have got after @ 40-50 days

lets hope for best

perhaps they are filtering applications that need to be sent back first like marta's and then focus on generating uci and PErs

Most likely the case. in this case lot of ppl will have their CC charged simultaneously.

I got an sms alert from my bank stating a nominal amount of Rs75 has been deducted without any reason.

I contacted the bank and I was told that, the bank draft given to CIC has been encashed and there was some extra tax which they deducted from your account.

That is a good news right, as it has been encashed and not rejected.

If bank is sure about DD encashed by CIC then definitely a GOOD NEWS. please share more information. are u on tracker? when did your application reach to CIC under which NOC?

but if draft is encashed than congrets. . . .its a good sign
wait for email of PER.. . .
check spam and junk mail also as there may chance to go the mail instead of inbox

but draft encashement is really good sign
