Hi,
Is there a problem with the e-CAS webpage? I have been trying to check my status (via UCI or App #) from the moment I received the PER (29-Sep) and I always get the following message:
"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided..."

I'll appreciate you help on this matter.

Dear Forum members,

I received the email below from CIO. This was in response to my email sent on 18/09/2013 shortly before my fee was cashed and PER received. DO you think this is an AOR? I have heard seniors say that LVO doesn't give AOR. Can I take CIO's reply below to mean an AOR?

Dear Sir:

Re: application # Exxxxxxxxxxx

Please be advised that an acknowledgement letter was sent via e-mail on September 24, 2013. Your file was then transferred to the visa office in London. Please contact their office with any enquiries or additional information.

Thank you.

Kindly advise.

CIO is plainly replying your query that you sent earlier. This is not AOR.

You must be doing something incorrect that's why its not letting you in. Try entering UCI without "-" and correctly enter Last name. Double check everything when you enter.

So you mean that it is possible i land there finish the landing formalities, come back again to India for one more year, again fly bck to Canada?
thanks, can some one post a clear brief about this process, thanks

regards

As far to the knowledge I have from a PR holder
After the landing and getting the PR Card which is valid for 5 years from Landing Date...you must stay 3 years out of these 5 years in Canada (not important to be continuous) in order to be able to renew ur PR card and apply for citizenship
For less than 3 years in Canada, u can't get citizenship and the only option would be renewing ur PR
Anyway as advised by many froum members and to avoid any hassle that may happen and ruin the whole thing...just try to have 3 full years in Canada within the 5 after landing date
Regards

Just to correct, it is 2 years out of 5 years to maintain the PR status. But to apply for citizenship it may be different. Check this link for maintaining PR status http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/about-pr.asp#keep_status.

Here is the time requirement to be eligible for Canada citizenship which is 3 years (1095 days) in the past 4 years: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.asp#time

Dear Experts,

I am late for NOC 2147 application, as soon as I cleared IELTS (7.5/7.5/6.5/6.5 (7)), the cap was reached.
Have 3 years of experience and am holding graduate engineering degree. Spouce IELTS is also done with enough score.
I'm scoring 71 points.

My question is what process I should finish now so that I can apply in upcoming NOC for 2014?
I've heard that CIC may change the rules at the end and may reject ECA done prior 1 May 2014. Is it so?
other than ECA, what else can I do?

Thanks a lot in advance

Finish your ECA. Never mind those rumors. Even if old ECA is rejected, you can ask the agency to issue a new certificate, and they will promptly do it. This happened to a few folks this time also (who had ECA done earlier).

Dear nmg and other fellow NDVO applicants,

Today I got my Police clearance certificate from Passport seva kendra, Gurgaon.

I will try to answer few queries regarding PCC from India based on my experience.

Hi Sandy1985,
Do you know if it is necessary to get the PCC from passport office only?? The local police station is fine or no?
I have sent the local one along with my application.

They had no format.. I typed it all and they just verified and signed.. seal's are also in Hindi.
The passport office looks more reliable..???

Apart from IELTS, the only thing that will take time to process is ECA. I advise you make the move although there are few uncertainties e.g. Inclusion of your occupation next year, change in IELTS requirements etc. In all there need to "gamble" if you want to apply early next year. Go ahead and do the ECA please. No much envisaged harms. Good luck

HI SENIORS!

PLS HELP CAN SOMEONE PLEASE FORWARD A COPY OF THEIR EXPERIENCE LETTER (NOC 2132
WITH DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES) ACTUALLY SUBMITTED TO IMMIGRATION, SURELY WONT BE COPY / PASTING IT, ITS JUST FOR THE SAKE OF GETTING AN IDEA HOW TO DRAFT THIS LETTER

THIS CAN BE SENT ON MY EMAIL ALSO nitchar1 @ yahoo.co.in

thanks

Dear Nitchar,
Forget about this issue, and don't bother yourself for sending an application for NOC2132 this year; because you are already out of the cap. CIO is now processing July applicants, so the cap of 300 will be reached by August applications. Go prepare yourself to apply for FSW2014 next year... ;)
