you know my dear formites, I keep on thinking why some get their PERs and others are still waiting.
honestly no clear answer.
I don't want to spread negativity here, but why do some receive faster than others?
Moreover, I have noticed that applications received by MIKE are really slow in processing :'(
we should check what is this MIKE doing :P :P :P :P

I think we have had enough of the POF discussions now and several times earlier. We should stop bothering any further on this or whether a statement be tampered or a bank letter be forged, etc.....

To all those quoting CIC statement, I've a question, what will they write if not what is written?

They run a program, for skilled worker's immigration, so they set a few guidelines as any other program in the world ought to have, not just immigration. Remember, these are not rules but guidelines. They warn you of something even if they may not know how the money has traveled between accounts or persons. This just forms one of the key eligibility criteria while you submit your app to NS. "You do have to believe that their's a vehicle ahead of the next blind-turn even it isn't there; there's uncertainty but you assumed the worst. Similarly, they can't be sure of everything before-hand or too rigid to have every single aspect of the applicant verified with an advocate's approach in the first stage so they instruct you on having YOUR MONEY FOR YOURSELF". In short, there's always some level of uncertainty involved in every process even if one put one's best to keep all things in place.
CIC wants to ensure, and in a way advises you, to have 'YOUR OWN MONEY' so that 'YOU' do not suffer and become a burden on the social and governmental services upon landing in Canada; at least not within the first one year.

Now heading to the VO;
You can have your money borrowed from your parents or anyone for a duration. (You pay them back or not is your matter and to no one's interest here) The point here is: sudden fall and rise of the account balance gets you under the scanner and then VO might ask for a detailed bank statement to see by which mode and account/person the money was exchanged. You can have money credited/debited to your account in parts and over certain gaps such that by the time VO asks for the balance you are ready to show one. A bank statement of 3 months is equally good if not specifically asked for 6 months. I submitted the former with my app and I'm good.

Hope that helps!

Sorry for discussing the above things again. But has there any problem if proof of funds shows from applicant and spouse's solo account?

Luqi, I got the same mail. I was surprised, as nobody on this forum has received such reply. The mail also said that my application could still be on queue and that I can check again in 3-4 weeks. Did you mail say that too?

We are same date - 3rd July. Maybe this is a standard reply for July applicants now.

Actually I got the same reply too. I sent my app in June, for 2174, and emailed CIC on 05.08, got a reply on 30.08, and told my app couldnt be found on the system, and wait 3-4 weeks, due to the amount of applications they have to go through. But then again, I applied for a popular NOC so obviously it will take longer for me to get any reply than the less NOC's like yourselfs.

Hi everyone,

For those who are awaiting MR, this is what you can expect.

I received two E mails on 6th Sep one for MR and and the other for Settlement of Funds and payment of RPRF from CPPO (Ottawa) which is my visa office.

The first E mail is on Medical request. It had an enclosed pdf file containing two pages. The first page as quoted below explained how and where I should get my Medical done which has to be completed within 60 days. The second page is the actual Medical Report (Form IMM 1017E protected) with my name and other particulars including bar code of IMIE number printed to be taken to the Doctors office.

The contents of the first page is:

QUOTE:

Medical Examination Instructions

IMM 1017 E (12-2012) GCMS
These medical instructions are being issued since your application has been processed to the stage
where medical examination results are now required. Please read these instructions carefully.

IMPORTANT: You are required to undergo the medical examinations within 60 days of the date of this
letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.
The medical examination must be performed by a doctor from the CIC list of Panel Physicians.
You cannot choose your family doctor if his or her name is not on this list. See the list of Panel Physicians to
find a doctor in your area at CIC web site xxxxxxxx
Once you identify a panel physician in your area, book an appointment for your medical examination.
When you schedule your appointment, please ensure that arrangements are made for your chest x-ray
and laboratory tests as well. Once your medical has been completed the doctor will forward the medical
results to CIC.

Any costs related to the medical examination are your responsibility and are payable at the time of the
examination. Should your application be refused following the completion of your medical examination
these costs will not be refunded.

Please bring the following to your appointment:
- The attached Medical Report form (IMM1017E)
- Proper identification (proof of identity must include at least one government-issued document
with photograph and signature, such as a passport or national identity card)
- Eye glasses or contact lenses, if worn
- Any medical reports or test results that you may have as a result of previous or existing
medical conditions
- Four recent photographs (photos are not required if the panel physician is listed as “eMedical
enabled” on the CIC website listed above)

Note: It is important that you inform the panel physician of any previous or existing medical conditions.
Failure to do so will delay the processing of your medical examination.

The second E mail is on the Funds and RPRF

QUOTE

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· Updated evidence of settlement funds (showing 6 months deposits/ withdrawals history) for yourself

· Payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) for yourself.

You must pay this fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued. The RPRF will be refunded if the application is refused, if you withdraw your application or if you choose not to use your visa. Please follow these steps:

· Go to CIC website: XXXXXXX

· Read the instructions on each page, and click “Continue” to proceed

· Select the “Immigration” link, followed by “Right of Permanent Residence Fee”

· You must pay this fee once for yourself as principal applicant and your spouse

· Enter the number of fee payments (1 or 2) in the box beside the fee of $490

· Click “Submit”

· Proceed to pay your fees by selecting “Pay” and then follow the instructions to pay with a credit card

Once the payment process is complete, the web site will display your official receipt in PDF format. You must send the receipt to CPP-O.

You, being a primary applicant, have to show the total POF depending upon the number of immigrants under your application and establish that all that money lay at your quick disposal. I don't think solo accounts will work here because then you show financial dependency on your wife, whereas you are main applicant and wife, your dependent!
Being a primary applicant yourself, you will need a letter of No Objection from your wife if she be contributing in your POF. You can have joint account with wife and an NOC from her for your Canadian immigration requirements.
