Hi there. I feel worried now. My question is, is the CRA will automatically freeze my bank account once I ran out of status? I feel like they're trying to get my attention because I tried to log in to my bank account and it asked for a security question first before I proceed. But when I answered the security question, it says error. I tried it twice now with the same correct answer and it's still an error. I don't haven't done my third try yet coz I'm hoping to double-check it first with my personal files. Maybe the letters are case-sensitive. I don't know. I'm paranoid now. All my money are in there. Please help. Thanks.

CRA doesn't know you're out of status and can't freeze bank accounts. Sounds like a password problem. And yes - passwords are almost always case sensitive.

But what about SIN? Do they do random checking on SIN? and btw, it's a security question not a password so I don't remember if it's case-sensitive or not. Please help. Thanks.

It has nothing to do with CRA or immigration. No one here can help you login to your bank account. The logical course of action would be to contact the bank....

100% agreed.
