Hello people,

Need urgent advise , I am basically an accounting and finance student and have a relevant experience of 4.5 yrs in corporate field. I opted for Financial planning and wealth management course from Lambton College for Sep intake but somehow couldn't make it. For Jan 2018 , this course is already been closed ( no idea how and when)
Now I am planning for another course which is Global business management from centennial college. My concern is will I be able to get visa for this course . I will surely mention all the necessary data in SOP but does it make sense to go for this course??

Regards

There are other course options at Lambton College too that are 2-year graduate certificate with co-op term that might still be open. Check them out too. Besides even if the program is showing as closed keep checking for the programs at Lambton because my agent told me that they open the program sometimes for a short window over the next month or two when their admissions are not full.
And I think it is safe to say that if you got visa for Lambton, you would get it for Centennial College too.

As for Global Business Management, it has its positives and negatives. It is a 2 year course so you will be eligible for a 3 year PGWP and from what I could gather a lot of Indian students go for this course and college. As for its job prospects, I think because you have previous work ex of 4.5 years that might help you. Look for a post about this course by a member named PISSED. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/global-business-management-may-2012.91567/
Was an eye opener for me but buddy look it is your decision ultimately and for every course there will be some positive and negative reviews.

I personally would suggest you to still go for a course that offers a specialisation in a field like accounts, finance, marketing, hr etc even if you are applying at one of the spp colleges. And if possible and if you are eligible, go for a master degree course in a public university. Even if the University is not like a top university and only has a decent ranking/reputation, I would suggest you that over any spp college.
