Where and what CIC Immigration are you applying at??Also what is your timeline???

I am not sure what you mean but I am currently in Korea, however, I applied for all of this 15 months ago now IN Canada (in Toronto). As for my timeline, if you mean WHEN did I apply, as I said, 15 months ago or so. If you mean when do I WANT to go back, December this year or June next year at the latest. If you want to know when my sponsorship was accepted, I think 7 months ago (so 8 month after applying).

Yeah sad thing is, IF there were, and it DID (learn English), they WOULD remove it. Just like the dunderheads they all are. Did you know you're required to be a "dunderhead" to become PM of Canada . . . :P

Hi,

Does this strike affect family application sent inland? I plan to apply for PR soon under family class inland (both me and my soon-to-be-spouse are living here already).

Thanks.

They have a family picnic on Monday

PAFSO members and friends in the NCR, please join us for Monday September 2's Labour Day Parade. It starts from Ottawa City Hall (Lisgar & Elgin) at noon, and wraps up with a family-friendly picnic from 1-4 p.m. at McNabb Park (Gladstone & Bronson), including music, balloons, pony rides, games, face painting, clowns and more.

We're still in a limbo.....It seems that the government has no respect for us, their citizens...no one even cared letting us know what the result of the recent negotiation was. Is this the kind of treatment that we get from our government whom we have been paying expensive taxes for??? 30% of my hard-earned money goes to them bi-weekly ... I believe I deserve better services than this.

I think the government isn't doing much about this strike, because their temporary measures are working (hiring locals, temporary staff). I've noticed lots of people here lately are getting their applications updated and moving along.

According to my MP, the govt has: "...suspended economic classes of immigration to help with clearing this backlog (of family sponsorship cases)." I don't think it will help those of us in the "in process" stage for our spouses but maybe files going to the Ottawa office will benefit from this.

There "temporary measures" are working for who? Visas issued are way down compared to what they were doing before the strike.

LMAO! CJG, you TOTALLY got me with the anglophone parrot! Sounded just silly enough to be true. Thanks for the giggle!
