Hi i have 379 points on CIC.... and the latest cut off is 461 of Jan 2016 ..... its about to be almost 9 months since i applied for.... do you think the cut off might go low ? Or any other way i could get my points raised up ? Is there a way to obtain LMIA directly without any need for employer? Kindly guide me a way to increase points. ...thanks

Kindly apply for a PNP like SINP in order to obtain 600 additional points. Of course you can reappear for IELTS and obtain scores equivalent to CLB 9 so that u obtain more than 600 CRS points.

I don't think points will ever go below 430!

having that said I think your best option would be to secure either a job supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or to get nominated by a province. Other than that taking IELTS again and obtain a higher educational degree is the other path to increase your points!

How can i obtain LMIA without an employer ..... as i have given much interviews and they don't select me as they don't offer LMIA and expect me to be there in order to obtain job ....this is like a loop :( :( :'( ::)

You require L8, R7, S7, W7. You score ll go above 400 and you might get Ontario interest letter for PNP.

yes it ll change that much of your CRS. you can calculate your score over CRS tool provided by CIC and check by yourself.
try for IELTS and you are good to go. best of luck.

Hi Guys,

this is my first post/ visit here. My CRS is coming to 360 and i read someone said that the cut wont go past 430!! ??? ???
I have two questions:
1. How do i get to get interviewed sitting here in India to have 600 points of the job piece and
2. That i am out of job from last 2 years. So, is it going to affect the chances?

I have applied for Express Entry of FSWP. I am an SAP consultant.

Would be grateful if someone could revert in detail.

Thanks.

Lets be practical enough score would not drop down soon below 450 as there are many new applicants enrolling who already hold Masters or Two or more certificates and who missed to score CLB 9 also there would be many Nominations from Ontario which would add 600 more points to applicants
apart ther must be more than 10k applicants ranging between 400-450
Thanks !

scores might fall below 450 in near future. CIC has mentioned in annual meet in nov and then again in webinar that 2014 backlog has been cleared. and they ll start picking more applicants from EE. if count per draw increases from 1500 to 2200 that ll be significant increase and we can see it coming below 450 mark..

1. I am not sure what question 1 means. Could you be clearer? If you are asking how do you get the Canadian job that would get you 600 points via LMIA while you are in India, well, frankly, that's hard. You should aim at getting Provincial nominations, that would be helpful.
2. Theoretically, your unemployment status, current or previous, does not actually affect your application chances- as long as you are meeting the minimum threshold for employment (full time or part time work in the past five years), it doesn't matter if there were, or are, any periods of unemployment.

Thanks, Aragorn165.

In point 1 i intended to ask/know as to how can someone find a job in canada so that he/ she has an offer letter which would in turn add 600 points to his/her CRS. I hope i am clear this time.
Is this where the job bank comes into play?
