For ECA which is preferred-WES, CES or ICAS

Hello People, I have done my Bachelors in Architecture. Please share which is the quickest and supportive for ECA WES, CES or ICAS?

Responses will be highly-appreciated as I am about to send my docs for assessment soon?

WES is the best. I got my evaluation in 8 days. All the best .

WES is the quickest service that you can find. But partiality in assessment even after producing packages which detail how it analysis' degrees. It would be helpful of other candidates who have registered with other services explain their status.
Indian P.G certificates are considered as simply as additional 1yr to Bachelor's degree. Which is a shameful approach by WES. But Engineering Masters from low ranking Uni's are considered equal.

I haven't got reply from BCIT (called ICES) for clarification rgdg costs for credential.

I downloaded the Application Form which answers this Qs:

It is C$200 for each degree/qualification. BSc with MSc combination will cost C$400 and courier fees for regular processing, not Rush Processing which happens to be double cost.


I looked at courses offered by BCIT as study programs. It does not have any BSc or any course in Chemistry or Physics or Mathematics (like typical BSc course which we get in India). Eg: BSc course in BCIT is available for Biotechnology. Now in India a BSc degree is taking 3yrs, but in BCIT for BSc(Biotechnology) it is taking 5yr.

Somebody like ourselves with BSc and MSc combo (I think) will get similar assessment from BCIT (ICES) like WES. Not as Masters degree. This is my personal view.

If somebody has done assessment of BSc or MSc degree from India from BCIT (ICES) then plz tell your ICES assessment. It will help us very much.

Nope. You only need an ECA for your Masters degree. But if you choose to do ECA for your bachelors as well, then no issues, you'll be paying the same fee. I suggest you do it for both because you don't pay extra and its valid for 5 years! Good luck!

Can anyone please confirm requirements of ECA by CES? At their application they have mentioned colored photocopy of degree & transcript to be directly sent by educational institute. But at immigration section, criteria varies for each country. I am from Pakistan. Can anyone please confirm if HEC certification is compulsory for me or not

Hi All,
IQAS is also gearing for this ECA thing..
they are now completing this entire ECA process within 14 days..

I got mine in just 14 days.
Though IQAS doesn't provide electronic ECA report like WES does.
Also there is no option to check status of your ECA application onilne with IQAS such as WES offers.

My Bachelors degree evaluation took several months with CES (dispatched to CES in September 2014, acknowledgement of receipt received in November 2014, ECA received in March 2015). It took 18 weeks to get electronic copy of my ECA from the date of acknowledgement of receipt.

I have now sent my Masters degree to be evaluated by CES too, been 10 weeks since their acknowledgement of receipt of my ECA application. Hopefully I will get my ECA in next 4-5 weeks InshAllah.

No need to send original documents. Transcripts are to be sent in a sealed envelope by university. Approach your university.

WES is known to assess indian Master of Arts (MA- 2 years) degree as Bachelors (4 years).
Have someone with MA degree tried CES/ICAS and got correct equivalence (i.e. Master)?
