I am interested in knowing and finding out if anyone, who applied between May2007 and Dec2007, has received any documents update letter or any other correspondence from CIC London.

Please reply, only, if you are a London Candidate/Applicant whose time line is between the above given dates. (May2007-Dec2007)

Thank You.

BobbyB,

This might be of interest to us old applicants....

A kababayan of mine at trackitt , submission of application Feb. 2007, aor July 2007, got her 120day
letter June 25.

A hospital mate , submission of appl, April, 2007, aor July, 2007, got an email just this morning
from her attorney that they already received his 120day letter.

Although not on your exact timeframe (May 2007 to Dec. 2007), at least it keeps us alive that
applications are moving.... More updates? Pls. share...

Piolo,

Thanks a lot for the information. Highly appreciated.
Of course, this shows that they send out Document update letters as per the AOR date and also that things are moving again for the old applicants in London. If I was to make an educative Guess, then I'd say,

AOR JULY - Docs update Letter JUNE
AOR AUG -....................Letter JULY
AOR SEP -.......................Letter AUG
AOR OCT-..........................Letter SEP
AOR NOV-...........................Letter OCT
AOR DEC-............................Letter NOV.
and that would be it for 2009.

What do you guys thinks? To me, it looks to be just a matter of Months from now on.

Hello,
So glad to have found this topic.
We applied on 06 SEPTEMBER 2007, our AOR was received on 18 SEPTEMBER 2007 (which I am surprised it was only 12 days later, since I saw in trackitt that it normally takes a lot longer to get)
We already received the letter that you guys received also about withdrawing back in August 2008 (which shows that those letters where all sent at the same time and did not give an indication that they were ready to look into our files).
We still have not heard from them but I am hoping that Bobby is right and as per AOR we get contacted this August.
We are residents in the UK
Principal Applicant's nationality: AMERICAN (born and raised)
Principal Applicant's spouse: SPANISH nationality
We want to move to Canada because we do not believe in the USA politics, and living in Toronto, we would only be 110 miles away from my husband's home town in NY state, yet being in a non-coservative society.
I just wanted to give a bit of background on who we are and main reasons to want to move to Canada (we also miss the snow and the humid summers). Feel welcome to ask any questions.
What are the chances to have to go to an interview? do they normally waive it? not that it matters but just curious.
We are going through such headaches to figure out how to get our State Police Clearances, since we have lived in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, and New Jersey states, what a nightmare.

edupolo,
Thank you for your input. Chances of getting an Interview is normally "SLIM" I would say, and all depends on the applicants preparation. In most cases, applicants are invited to an interview to clarify doubts. I would say , a well prepared application with clear readable and verifiable supporting documents will usually result in an Interview waiver.

With regards to PCC from the US, I don't know, as I have lived only in Africa, Asia and Europe all my life up till now and would love to live, work and retire in Canada for the rest of my life. (LOL).
I think you should start a new thread, I am sure a lot of the forums members are from the states and would be able to guide you.

Just curious to see if anyone in UK can recommend the best way to notarise documents such as University Diplomas, Employment Contracts, Pay Slips... is it very expensive to do this?
Also, I have a Birth Certificate from Spain that I guess will have to be translated and certified... what is the best way to go about getting something professionally translated?
I am getting so excite to think that anytime from October I could be getting the letter that requests my docs! and I wanna be ready for it.
Many thanks.

Hey BobbyB,
Your times seems to be right
AOR JULY - Docs update Letter JUNE
AOR AUG -....................Letter JULY
AOR SEP -.......................Letter AUG
AOR OCT-..........................Letter SEP
AOR NOV-...........................Letter OCT
AOR DEC-............................Letter NOV.
and that would be it for 2009.
We sent our application in I think it was end of April or beginning of May, received letter from CIC last month asking for all the documents. We’re in process of collecting all our documents, almost finished. We’re based in Ireland (me nd my wife).
Cheers,
Gregor

I have a question:
If one looks at trackitt.com one realises that there is such an inconsistency as to when the documents are requested... I mean there are some that applied in 2006 and they still have not requested documents. Why would this be?
I also realise that nationality seems to speed up process (maybe because it is easier to assess) i.e. english speaking countries nationals seem to get PR faster than other nationals. Is that somehow true or just pure coincidence?
By the way, someone in trackitt who applied in July 2007 from Jordan just got the updated docs letter.

Re: For Applicants of 2007 (in London): Has Anyone received documents update let

Hi BobbyB

We sent in application in April 2007 and they confirmed receipt of application in July 2007. We then received a letter in Aug 2008 checking that we still wanted to proceed with application. Our last letter received in May 2009 has requested that we submit all of our paperwork by 4 September 2009 including police reports, work records (job descriptions and letters from employers) as well as copies of birth certificates, passports etc.
We are really keen to know how long the process takes once we have submitted all of our paperwork in September.

Good luck with your application.

KOMM

Still waiting, since I my AOR is September 2007.
Worried that trackitt.com does not seem to move and noone has gotten anything since June 15.
I wonder how many of us are left under the Pre-Feb 2008 rules!
