Hi Friends,

As i have shared details earlier also -

RPRF - 28th March 2014.
Medical - 31st March 2014 (ecas updated "Medical Results have been received"
Additional Documents ($10,000 proof, Passport Copy & Birth certificates) were delivered to Colombo VO on 8th April 2014.


I wrote an e-mail to them asking for conformation of receiving the documents but they have not replied . And since then, i have not received any update.

What to expect from these people yaar?

Hi Sidhu ji. I have been sending them emails but i am not receiving the automated receipt that we used to receive earlier. Did you get that receipt or has the procedure changed? That mail used to be there in the inbox within a minute of sending them an email. Thanks. N K Sidhu.

our medicals are going to expire in 45 days n till now no visa. Our vfs status says they need sm additional docs for our daughter. They are not telling us what docs they need. Sent them emails n enquiries through website. Didnt even get the automated receipts. Should we go to their shantipath new delhi office and request to tell us what docs they need? Please help. We feel hopeles and helpless.

Got this reply from CVO about an hour back -

Dear Mr. Sidhu,

We have received your documents and the file is with the officer for review.

Firstly go apply new passports without wasting time, in the mean time send CHC any pertinent notarized copies of documents for your daughter (Birth certificate, school records etc), include cover letter which clearly shows your client no/ file no. , explain you are sending these as the letter is not saying exact kind of documents ( hope you read the letter carefully). If they will need any further documents, they will ask for it.

By grace of God i finally got Passport Request today !! ;D

Submitted passport at VFS Chandigarh within 2 hours of receiving e-mail. Interesting thing is that VFS staff told me that VISA WILL BE STAMPED AT CHANDIGARH CONSULATE OF CANADA & will not be sent to NEW DELHI as mentioned in e-mail.

Looking forward to receiving passport back with visa.

Hi Friends,

By grace of God i finally got Passport Request today !! ;D

Submitted passport at VFS Chandigarh within 2 hours of receiving e-mail. Interesting thing is that VFS staff told me that VISA WILL BE STAMPED AT CHANDIGARH CONSULATE OF CANADA & will not be sent to NEW DELHI as mentioned in e-mail.

Looking forward to receiving passport back with visa.

Hi Doglover. I appreciate your advice. Fortunately vfs informed us that that msg is a mistake from their end and we should ignore it. However, they are taking too long to issue us the visas. Any advice on what we can do apart from waiting?
