Hi,
I read a lot of post about extending work permit by flagpoling.
Is live-in caregiver work permit holder allowed to extend their work permit by going to the border. I'm renewing my contact with the same employer. I work for them for more than 2 years now.
Thank you. Hope someone can answer my question.

You don't need to go to the border. Just apply for extantion of your work permit. You'll get it by regular mail.

The answer to your question is no. Live in caregivers cannot be issued a work permit at the border.
