For IMM 0008:

Current country of residence - My husband has been here with me in Canada since July and we got and apartment and both signed our name on the lease. It says in the guidelines that you can only "reside" in Canada if you have been lawfully admitted for one year. My husbands 6 months will be up in December but we are going to apply for an extension of stay. Are we allowed to put that he is currently residing in Canada even though it's less than a year?

When filling out IMM 0008 ... does my husband use the same UCI number that he has for his tourist visa? Or do we just leave this blank?

Re: Do we use the same UCI # from the tourist visa?

He ca write the UCI number or leave blank. Many people do not remember their number-me too. It`s not wrong to leave blank if not sure.

I'm not sure if it was correct or not, but I listed Canada as my country of residence. I was just on a visitor permit (U.S. citizen), and I'd been here for about three months at the time. If it was incorrect, it certainly didn't cause CIC any trouble or confusion.

alright, thank you.
Does anyone else have any information on this?

My husband has been here for 2+ years on various visitor Visas.

We are married and live together here and we used our Canadian address on our application and everything has been fine.

We used our Canadian address on our application as well. iirc I put the UCI on the app that was on my visitors visa.

You use the same uci,as this never changes I believe, and we also canada down but I'm here a bit longer than you man
