Hi All,

I have few questions around citizenship and I hope you can help me here:

- I have IELTs score from 4 years ago which is expired but can I use it for the citizenship application?
- I moved from US (country of origin) and I am Indian national, should I still submit FBI PCC?
- Does anyone know how many days FBI PCC is currently taking using the normal route?
- Is PCC needed for 8 year old minor?

Thank you for your help.

Yes, old ielts is fine.

Its up to you if you want to submit but its not required. if you are not submitting then mentioned the reason as "country of origin". Should not be an issue to get the application accepted as my application had pcc and my wife's application didnt. We both received the receipt number without application being returned. But i will anyway have to send her pcc later just to avoid any delay later as we dont know which officer might want at the last minute.

PCC doesnt take more than few days nowadays. Create account online and submit the request (with option for results through email as well as post). Mail the prints. You will get your result in few days to your email and in 1-2 weeks to your mail.

No pcc for minor. Refer the instructions.

- I have IELTs score from 4 years ago which is expired but can I use it for the citizenship application? Yes indeed...a copy of it is sufficient (my brother did that )
- I moved from US (country of origin) and I am Indian national, should I still submit FBI PCC? Have you lived in the US
this is only required if you have lived outside Canada for a total of 183 days or more in a row in the 4 years immediately before the date of your application
- Does anyone know how many days FBI PCC is currently taking using the normal route?
Current processing time for Identity History Summary requests submitted electronically is estimated to be three to five business days upon receipt of the fingerprint card. Allow additional time for mail delivery if this option was selected during the request process.
Current processing time for Identity History Summary requests submitted via the mail is 12 weeks. Allow additional time for mail delivery.

- Is PCC needed for 8 year old minor? No - only for people above 18

Good luck!
