Fees in Schools in Calgary

I am getting confused regarding the topic. Some people say that it is free education upto University, others say that schools charge fees. My kids will be joining schools in Calgary in Sep 2013 and I want to know if there is any fees for Grades 7 and 10 ? If there is, what amount of fees we are talking about ?

Which schools are Government and which are Private ? How would I know - their website doesn't indicate this.

Public school IS free in Canada ( we pay taxes for that ). There will only be very low fees for certain events, school supplies, lunches. Just everyday stuff.

hi ... it pass long time since you post this topic......
I'll move to Calgary from ksa .... I'm also confused ragarding the same issue as you...
what did you found .... can you share your experience.... & did the kids adapt in school easly...
