They asked me to get RCMP police certificate in the same mail in which they requested RPRF.
What is your ecas status? It could be just some bureaucratic delay.
Status is "IN PROCESS"(We started processing your application on June 2, 2015.)
They did not ask for my RCMP police certificate right now.

You don't need to submit a PCC from the RCMP. CIC is running its own background checks.
Technically if you have lived in Canada for more then 6 months you do need to provide RCMP. In some cases they (probably, not sure) skip it but in my case they did ask me to provide them the RCMP certificate (probably because i have been here since 2011).

It depends since how long you are living in Canada and the visa officer. But all you can do for now is stay calm and wait.

Generally speaking, no. But in cases as stated in my previous post they will ask you for fingerprints.

"If you have lived in Canada for more than 6 months after the age of 18, a background check may be automatically conducted with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). If your name has a 50% or more match in their data base, the RCMP may request fingerprints in order to confirm your identity."

Yes, all I can do is wait....
I just worry about the CSIS processing.
My friend was asked for this and 17 months passed still nothing.

Thanks, you applied quite early. I am a September 2014 applicant, looks like I have to wait for some time.
