That's a crazy date. You can call IRCC now and ask for an earlier appointment. Or you can wait for the invitation email and respond asking for an earlier time. But there is a problem with that option, if the appointment is in January, then you would get the invitation email by mid December. Definitely not the time to ask for anything earlier.

Maybe calling is the best bet.

That's pretty weird. Never saw anybody being scheduled for the Oath Ceremony in 2026.

I don't think that oath date is /that/ unusual - although my guess is that this will turn out to be an in-person ceremony, which in some places (eg 'not Toronto') are less frequent and longer lead times.

That said: while it's hypothetically possible that you could inquire and (if it's in-person) ask for virtual and maybe get an earlier date, it might also just take longer to reschedule and even if it did work, not end up being much earlier (I'm guessing eg that there are fewer ceremonies from about the 20th Dec through the 6th of Jan, give or take).

I have been having this issue too. Just called them and everything is normal with the application.

Yes, same here. I posted last week about the issue, and it still hasn't been resolved on the website.
