I didn’t receive any email with test link…. Is it the same email with test invite? Or I was supposed to get another email?

No Not yet. Completed my test on Dec 7. Now i have an interview with officer on Jan 27. Language, prohibitions and physical presence is still in progress.

I really don’t get their process- i completed the test on november 7th, everything is still in progress except test and background check and i have had no news since i took the test. I wonder why some people hear back with interview and other are stuck for months without news. Does it have to do with the office that has the application?

You’re lucky you did the test, theres still a good # of 2019 and 2020 applicants who are just receiving test invites. Processing for 2021 folk has been faster in general. Hang in there.

I can understand your concern. When i got my PR, my application was stuck in baffalo office and got delayed for 2 years. I think its probably because of particular office backlog.

October. 3 months. I saw people waiting for 4-5 months since the test. Recently someone I know took oath. 2019 applicant.

Wow the backlog is insane - the funny thing is when you look at their processing time it says 12 months still from when application has been received… well for a lot of people it’s been way over that already. Looks like they slowed back down from the fall probably due to the new variant - let’s just hope we’ll all hear back soon ! Good luck everyone !

Today i checked my status it says Updated January 11th 2022 but i cant see any updates like test invite or Background completed.

That's what called a "ghost" update. It means they worked with your file. Usually you receive correspondence after a ghost update in 1-2 days. So check your profile in the next couple of days.

I received an interview invite and the timeline now looks as below. Kindly update.

AOR Received on: August 09, 2021
Background check completed on: Sept 16
Received online Test invitation: Nov 15
Citizenship Test completed: Dec 7
Received citizenship interview invitation: Jan 6, 2022
Interview date with Citizenship Officer: Jan 25, 2022

Hi there. I am new here. I just had a question. When you saw that your oath ceremony was scheduled for jan 8 online how many days did it take for you to receive the invitation email? My application was updated on dec 22 saying oath ceremony is scheduled for jan 22 however i have not received invitation email yet. Online it says waiting on you. Do I have to do something? Thank you!

I would say its coming real soon for you, well to answer that i would say, i got an email within a week, also as others mentioned here I would reiterate that ceremony invitation comes 6-7 days before the date of ceremony even if you see the tracker being updated with the ceremony date. Just hang in there man !

Well, I completed my Citizenship Ceremony on Jan 08, 2022 and today January 12, this morning i received my Certificate of Citizenship by Canada Post, what a pleasant surprise !! Thank you everyone for your support here, Finally am Canadian Citizen !!!
