I checked my online account and discovered that the background check which was updated to completed in June 2021 was updated to in progress on June 06 , 2022. Has anyone ever experienced this before? Any one in similar situation

My Friend experienced the same thing but after couple of days everything updated to completed. Did anyone experience same thing?Any one in similar situation

Thanks. I suggest you send them your ticket boarding pass and also copies of passports held during your eligibility period and your current passport if you have a new one. Please note that if you have any Stamps or other information on your passport that is not in English or French you would have to get them translated by a certified translator and also send them the translation. This could save time of more than 45 days.. incase an officer requires them he would already have them on file and won't ask you for them and move to processing the next step.

I am still waiting for the citizenship ceremony invitation. My wife was requested fingerprints for the second time. She did it again last Tuesday.

Is she submit to the same address for the first time since I have to do it for the second time but I didn't receive any email till now?

Hi Guys,

so I did my Oath July 15th and received my Certificate in the mail on Friday July 22nd.

yesterday I went and did my passport & will be picking up my passports tomorrow after 2:30pm.

Its going to be almost 6 months since i have completed the test and no update on Oath yet. PO is Mississauga. I sent emails, numerous webforms, but CIC is not responding to any of my queries. I wrote an email to MP from our constituency to help me with tracking as webforms are not being addressed now. Anyone in similar situation?

I’m in the same boat and have been waiting for 4 months now! I know someone who sent their application on Dec 2021 and got their oath ceremony first of July!!!
It’s so so unfair that they don’t have any rules to follow and they don’t answer anyone when asked about the applications!

My wife appeared for her exam in Jan 2022 and has been told to wait patiently for another 4-6 months to get an Oath invite and that she is in queue to get an invite for Oath ceremony. Her file was last updated on 31st May 2022. We are hoping she will get an Oath invite in this year at least
