But I made it to the very last stage of this excruciating process! P.S congrats to all of you who have received their decisions, and goodluck to those who are still in process! #on my way to toronto! :D

Congratulations, it seems like the Pretoria office is very diligent too. Imagine with missing documents you were able to finish the process in about 6 months time. That is amazing and again congrats to another February applicant!

Congratulations to all the newcomers!
I understand perfectly to missmatalini, the wait is horrible and every person that gets the COPR is a bad feeling thinking: why not me?
My advice: Order the CAIPS Notes

I ordered them end of May and I just got them this morning. If I would got them on time (30 days after) I would had all the answer to my questions, because there you can see all the details of your application.
My conclusion is that CIC doesn't work as good and efficient as I thought

I had a humbling moment last night and realized there are people further back than me waiting. . . so I need to remember that and keep in mind how much I complain when I'm ahead of schedule.
Are the CAIPS notes the same as GCSM notes? Do you have a link where I can do that?

Hope things are going great for you in Canada Steler!

ALSO another question.

When they've requested the Medical and RPRF does that mean that we passed the relationship test of our application? Is it all dependent on the medicals coming back clear at this point?

yes, i don't think they will ask for the RPRF unless your file has been cleared for approval. generally, i think it's the last step after security checks before issuing the visa... making sure you've paid all the fees. technically, i don't think they can "make a decision" until the applicant is paid up.

That is a heck load of relief then. Woo!

I've been vaccinated against TB and the Dr. Said my physical was normal, I am in perfect health. So unless something totally wacko comes in my lab work (which it shouldn't if I'm correct on what they are testing for) Its' just a matter of CIC hurrying the heck up. *bangs head against wall* ;D

what is your bring forward date for the medical? i wonder if they are waiting until then to issue the approval? i can't see how medicals take so long to confirm considering it is all electronic now.

Is the bring forward date, when they absolutely had to have it?

They had to be sent in by August 8th. They were sent in almost 3 weeks ago now I think.

Hoping, praying, crying! :)

ALSO (haha sorry for all these double posts!)

I really think that, despite all the other crap with the back and forth with LA. . .that not doing the medicals up front caused a slight delay. I think we would've had PR by now if we had gone ahead and done the medicals and RPRF up front. Oops, too late now. But, just from personal experience in case anyone else is curious as to if they should wait or not or if you are advising someone, I'd do it all up front and at once. You don't realize how long a month is until you're having to wait patiently to start your life!

i agree with the medical, not so much on the RPRF. it only took 10 days for my copr to be issued after paying. actually it was less, since i paid a couple of days after getting the request. if that's considered a delay, i'll take it! considering i got my PPR the same day as my fee request, i don't think it would have made a difference.

RPRF probably wouldn't have caused much of a delay I agree with, specially considering your own experience. But definitely wasn't the case with my medicals though. Should have just done it up front. Oh well.
