RPRF probably wouldn't have caused much of a delay I agree with, specially considering your own experience. But definitely wasn't the case with my medicals though. Should have just done it up front. Oh well.

ps... does your ecas say "medicals received" yet?

No :'(

I did follow up with the Dr's. Office though (because I had to go back to do some lab work because they had messed it up) and they confirmed the date it was sent out and received. I guess it's a matter of them opening it up.

I would say RPRF gives a bit of a delay, but not as bad as some people have said. We had ours requested July 15th, paid it on July 22nd and just got Decision Made yesterday, so for us it was 3 weeks from when we paid to when we got DM, but still not too bad.

Our lawyer's assistant said it would be about two months from the point when we paid the RPRF. I'm not sure I trust them so much though since they were also the ones who advised us to wait on paying the RPRF until it was requested. -_- However, it has been over a month since we paid it and it will be two months on my bring forward date, so maybe she was right. It really seems to vary, huh?
I'd like to think they've started processing my application despite the fact that my ecas still only says "application received." However, all this gets me very excited to go to bed and wake up early the next day just so I can check my status. Hahaha

Checking my status is what gets me out of bed every morning! haha

that is really weird. i got the request on july 15, sent the receipt on july 18 and got dm july 28th or 29th.

were there other requests besides the RPRF?

Hahaha! Right?

Our applications are only a few days apart so maybe we'll be twins and get DM on the same day! Fingers crossed!

I could be totally wrong but hasn't it happened in the past that some peoples ecas has gone from Application received to Decision made without ever going to "in process"?

Yeah… marriage certificate. Whoops! We only sent our marriage license since the certificate hadn't arrived yet when we first sent our application in February.

Yes! Fingers and toes are crossed for both of us (and everyone else still waiting)!
