We had a bit of a delay since we didn't enclose the Option C printout (We were doing taxes and got it mixed up in a ton of paperwork) That added a slight delay. . . I'm seriously on edge all the time now though since it had changed to "In process" and seeing some March applications finished is making me not only entirely jealous but worried sick -.-
I didn't send the Option C printout with my application,I sent only T4 bcoz when I applied I didn't receive from CRA.For that reason, will be process delay or not?Actually i am sleeping now bcoz singapore visa office is taking a long time to process.

Congrats to everyone whose file is moving forward. I am currently visiting my husband in Italy, scheduled to depart on August 11 @ 1400 and the Rome Embassy decided that my husband should be called for an interview on August 11 @ 1000. Just my luck. Currently begging my bosses to give me an extra week of vacation so I can "hopefully" take him home with me. Wish me luck!

The fact that you are in Italy will help the interview...
Good luck... and keep your cool.....

This might be a stupid question, but do you have to "Land" at specific POE's?

We were just going to drive to the Laurier POE in BC and flagpole . . .that's where I entered Canada a year ago and it was really tiny and in the middle of nowhere

I don't think that it matters the port of entry....

I sponsor my daughter from my previous marriage..
and we entered Canada in a POE in the middle of nowhere....
they were very kind....

I don't think the POE where I am intending to land is ever closed. I'll have to double check.

The excitement seeing people who applied after myself is crazy! Cause it means mine must be soon!

Called the Dr.'s office that I had my medicals done at. I had go go back in shortly after I had done it because they screwed up some of the lab work. I've been terrified that it hadn't been sent out but got confirmation it was sent out more than a week and a half ago. Thank you God!

All the documents had to be received by August 8th, so I'm hoping they open my file back up on that date and just change me to decision made :P

The status online for my sponsorship still just says application received, medical results received.

Today the Canadian Embassy in Havana called my husband and told him that he has to provide them with a missing document (I don't know which one) and clarify his employment history.

I don't think this was the call for the interview but I don't know?

I am going to call CIC in the morning but I am actually really confused because why would they call him? Usually they just email me...

They emailed me twice (March 2014 and May 2014) questing a new IMM 5471 or something because the signatures were in the wrong place and each time I re-did and re-sent the document registered mail so I know that they DID receive it. Now Havana is calling him for the same thing?

Could it be that Canada received the IMM 5471 and never forwarded it to Havana?

Hello everyone!
Congratulations to everyone in all of the new updates. I have been quite busy with life in Canada ;D!
I have updated everyones files in the spreadsheet since my last appearance, and I added MizAngel. If I forgot any please let me know.
And the people that still waiting, patience and the best of the lucks, everything will be for the best.

Cheers!

So last night I was super confused about the status of our file and today I got it all sorted via emails with the Visa Office in the Canadian Embassy in Havana.

Havana sent the RPRF on June 12, 2014 but somehow I never received it! They resent the request today, a long with a list of other items they were missing (Appendix A for my husband, His birth certificate, My flights to and from Holguin, Cuba, and our phone records).

So I think it is good news, and I paid the RPRF right away and sent them receipt, along with everything they are missing other than the birth certificate. They said the will proceed with the application and we can send the birth certificate by fax when we have it.

So after you pay the RPRF how long is it usually before you get the call to attend the Embassy for the interview/visa granting??

Anyone know?

Also means that Havana is moving quickly because I applied in February, My application was transferred to Havana at the end of May, and in June they sent the RPRF...I only just found out about it now!

YAY!

After you pay the fee they should re-visit the sponsor eligibility, and background check on the sponsored person...
if necessary they may ask for further documents.....
and the passport for visa ... or interview....
I don't know how Cuba works, but generally speaking that is what can be expected

8 more days before my wife lands here :). On 15th. Why is it passing so slow? Time machine anyone?

lol))))

hey guys, this might seem like a stupid question but I just can't seem to find a clear answer...I sent off an email to Ottawa inquiring about whether or not the additional documents we mailed in were received and attached to my husband's application. I got the general auto-reply back and in it it states that unless I'm the applicant, or have permission from the applicant to have information about the application disclosed to me, I won't get a reply back.

how do I know if I have permission? I looked over the application and can't seem to find anywhere on the forms where my husband would have been able to indicate that. Should he send off the email instead? we only have 9 days before the deadline they gave us to send this stuff in and I want to make sure it was received properly :/

the sponsor would only have permission if the applicant signed the "use of representative form" and indicated the sponsor as a representative. CIC will notify the APPLICANT about their application, just like only the sponsor received notification about theirs. If the applicant wants to know if the information was attached to their application, then yes, i believe they need to be the ones to enquire.

thank you :) I'll get him to send something off instead.
