Anxiously still waiting.

We've sent off the medical and RPRF this past week and I'm checking my ecas like mad even thoughI know I'm not going to see anything.

How long usually is it after the last fee is paid and medicals are requested? Any idea?

I sent mine off with my marriage certificate (whoops) on July 9 (got an email on July 8) and it's been three weeks today since. Still no word. You seem to be in a better place than me so maybe yours will go a bit faster. *fingers crossed* My ecas still says "Application Received."

We had a bit of a delay since we didn't enclose the Option C printout (We were doing taxes and got it mixed up in a ton of paperwork) That added a slight delay. . . I'm seriously on edge all the time now though since it had changed to "In process" and seeing some March applications finished is making me not only entirely jealous but worried sick -.-

i received passport request and rprf request the same day as you. i just changed to dm yesterday, so i wouldn't be surprise if happens soon for you. depending on what other requests were made, it can take a bit longer to get to dm.

they just asked for the RPRF and my medicals.
(Also the FBI clearance but I didn't have to do that.. )

I'm anticipating end of August until I see anything happen. I don't know how long it takes them to pick up my file, realize I'm perfectly healthy and then get around to changing my ecas

yeah, so that may mean it will take longer because it may take time for the medical exam to get processed and approved. generally, the shorter waits are connected to the "easier" requests, such as passport and payment.

Looking back, I wish we had done the medical up front but I was worried about it expiring and spending the money too soon -.- stupid on our part as now I'm dying now haha.

Crossing my fingers to Land either Middle of September or right before our 1 year anniversary on October 14th. What a great anniversary present that would be! :)

yes, that is our hope too! assuming i get the papers soon, i'll be landing in time for our first anniversary. best year 1 present EVER... and it's even paper! :)

This might be a stupid question, but do you have to "Land" at specific POE's?

We were just going to drive to the Laurier POE in BC and flagpole . . .that's where I entered Canada a year ago and it was really tiny and in the middle of nowhere

as long as the border is open, you can land at any land border. apparently, there are some smaller borders that are not open 24/7.

My wife got her COPR, and she will land on 15th of august, weeee! :)

congrats!

out of curiousity how long did it take for her to get it in the mail?

it's so nice/hopeful/jealousy-inducing to see everyone getting so much movement on their apps!

so my husband's application went into "in process" a couple of weeks ago along with a request for updated appendix b photos of the kids. he searched everywhere to find someone who could do the photos for him in NY but no one could, so we're having them done today and sent off Xpresspost. I'm just curious....does anyone have even a slightly vague idea you could give me for how long after this it might take for his application to complete? the kids are moving here with him and we want to be able to start them in school at the same time as everyone else, but I'm concerned about the timeline. I'm just looking for a base idea to tell the kids of how this could go.

it took me less than 2 weeks to get dm after sending in my rprf and pp. still waiting for copr in the mail. for ottawa, it seems to range from 2 weeks to 40 days. i imagine the length of time depends on the type of request sent.

Congrats to everyone whose file is moving forward. I am currently visiting my husband in Italy, scheduled to depart on August 11 @ 1400 and the Rome Embassy decided that my husband should be called for an interview on August 11 @ 1000. Just my luck. Currently begging my bosses to give me an extra week of vacation so I can "hopefully" take him home with me. Wish me luck!
