Mine did not, but it does say on ECAS that it went into process a couple days before I saw DM on ECAS. I checked everyday, so it's possible they just updated it to DM before ECAS had a chance to update.
From my records you didn't have any documents requested did you? Ottawa will not deny you without first giving you a chance to prove your case.

Actually my husband got an email yesterday asking for "passport photos" of his two children. then it says to specifically follow the appendix b for what the photos should look like. but the photos in appendix b are not passport photos, so we are confused. we originally sent the photos of him and the two kids with the application, and they aren't asking for a new photo of him so my gut tells me the original photos were fine but they want the most up to date pictures they can get of the kids before they start issuing landing stuff?? fingers crossed. the email said we had until Aug 16 to send the pictures but he's doing it tonight.

hey guys, for Appendix A, does my wife (the applicant) have to put down my info under spouse? Or leave it blank since she's the only one coming to Canada?

Thanks...

Quick question! I just did my daily check of my application status on CIC and it says Decision Made (!!!!!!!!!). I haven't heard from the visa office since we got word of my husband being approved as a sponsor and that my application was transferred to Ottawa.

Is it super rare that it's not a good sign if I never got asked for any additional documents or PPR? We had a couple of red flags or whatever so while I'm crying with excitement I really thought my application would take longer. I'm in complete shock. Thanks in advance for your help and sorry if this has been asked before.

I had sent in two passport sized photos and the required amount of immigration sized photos (appendix B) along with our application package. You may choose to send in both types so there is no question of what they are looking for.

this actually seems to be quite common for ottawa right now. a handful of applicants are getting the same thing. Zarilenth just landed and she never got PPR.

Also, I am learning what *I* consider to be "red flags" may not actually concern CIC. If the application is pretty straightforward, I think we are more critical on our apps than the officers are.

You're completely right. We gave them a lot of proof but I still had my doubts and (unnecessarily) made my self sick worrying about it. That's what happens when you can't work for an extended period of time I guess hah.

We started processing your application on July 14, 2014. :P woohoo! finally a change on my ecas

Congratulation...... :P

Hey Guys,

We just got the PPR email a few minutes ago. Have been asked to send appendix A and two passport photos along with my passport. Super excited!

Congratulations to everyone who has received updates in the last little while.

We visited NZ and returned - 0 issues coming back. No PR card still. I just explained to the Officer and it was just routine procedure. Hopefully the card still arrives soon.

I got my COPR today just two days after Decision Made came up on ECAS. :). Still so shocked and so happy.

One question - I have a busy couple of weeks coming up where I'm crossing at a land border twice in a week (once to visit my sister in Vermont, once to visit my family in New Jersey). Is it advisable to go to the border asap (like tomorrow) to flagpole and get my COPR stamped and then have that with me when I cross both time - or wait until the second and last time I cross (on my way home from New Jersey with my husband) and just land then. Sorry if that's confusing. I'm just not sure if it's advisable to cross multiple times with a COPR?

Thank you in advance and thank you to this board for being the only thing I could turn to during this stressful time - even if I never really posted.

I would not wait anymore.....
its up to you... no difference... you have a period of time for your landing...
but maybe would be very special if you share that moment of becoming permanent resident in Canada
with your husband....

I would do that....

Congratulations....
