Any one to take over the spreadsheet?
I've got the permanent residence already. It would be such a pity if no one continues for future applicants

I'll take over for now so you can go off and start your life in Canada without worrying about it (I'm sure it was going to weigh heavily on your mind :p) Just let me know how to get editing access to it.

Posted this on the Manila English speakers thread already, but thought I would let my JAN '14 peeps know as well ... we got our PPR today! So happy obviously.
The email came with the Appendix A & the Personal History forms. They say in the email "Fully Completed Appendix A (attached) for you and each of your family members, whether accompanying you to Canada or not. Passport details are not required for any family member who is not accompanying you to Canada."
Does this mean we also include the family members who are listed in sections A and C of IMM5406 (Additional Family Information), i.e. PARENTS and BROTHERS & SISTERS? We are only sending passports for my wife (principal applicant) and her dependent son who will travel with her, that is clear.
For the Personal History they are going back a few more years for activity & addresses, my wife will have some digging to do!
Finally, I will be transferring cities for work right about the time that they will hopefully arrive in Canada .... should we include a note in the package we send to the embassy (with the passports) about this move, or just contact the call centre in Canada about it?

Thanks in advance for all input!

Hi everyone!

The good news is, I had word from Manila this morning - since I am visa exempt, I assume this is the equivalent of a PPR.

The bad news is, they requested an additional document - a Russian Police Certificate. Within 45 days.

That has me scared, as the first Russian Police Certificate took me about 2 months to get - the consulate was very uncooperative (at first they even refused to do it). Also, I'm no longer in Japan, my country of residence - I'm visiting my husband in Canada and I don't know if a Russian consulate in Canada will issue a Police Certificate for me.

I'm wondering what was wrong with the Russian Police Certificate I sent in the first place?!?!?! It was original and it was issued within 90 days of application being received (it was about 2 months old when CIC received it). If it wasn't too old, what was wrong with it??????

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be very grateful!!!

Hi Kayaker,

I believe that they sometimes request a new clearance certificate if your current one is more than 6 months old. I may be wrong but i am sure i read that somewhere. I have seen it happen a few times. You should get onto it immediately, maybe also reply and let them know that you have requested the new certificate and include the current processing time of the certificate.

That's weird - I sent 3 police certificates (Russia, Japan, US) and they were all dated within 4 weeks of each other - they're all well past 6 months and they just asked for the one that's nearly impossible to obtain :/

hi everyone, my wife got her passport request today, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Wow congrats everyone! I'm still impatiently waiting to go In Process. According to the forum I'm next so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Wow I have dropped off the face of the earth.

Sorry guys!

A lot has happened. I haven't had a chance to read through everyone's post since I peaced out a few months ago....Congratulations to anyone who's application is further along or maybe even completed!

My Husband and I have started an application process to head into the states. . . but have left our application with Canada going.

I received an email this morning asking for the RPRF and my Medicals (Along with the FBI clearance but I don't need that as I wasn't in the states for over 6 months once I turned 18)

What's our timeline from here???

Hey that's great news! i just got an email today too for RPRF and passport. I *think* this means our files have been picked up and once we provide this stuff, the application is complete and can be processed for a decision! OTtawa seems to be moving substantially faster right now and flying through applications! Whether the officer waits for the "bring forward date" listed on the request or starts working on the file once everything is received is anyone's guess. People seem to have different experiences with it!

It didn't say anything about a passport other than wait until I get a formal request for it. It just asked for the RPRF fee and my medicals (With the FBI clearance)

*facepalm* Thought I had. Stupid me. Thanks for the reminder!

I honestly don't know why they are sending it back. . . . .a million prayers? haha
We honestly were about to cancel our application for Canadian permanent residency. Literally the letter was going to go out this coming Monday, so this was perfect timing. I'm so out of the loop with time frames and such. . . .after medicals are received it's not much longer right?

ALSO - since we probably will still be proceeding with moving to the states - as long as I am living with my Canadian Citizenship spouse, I am still upholding my permanent residency obligation right? That means I won't have to be in Canada for 2 out of 5 years??
