It is a site for learning languages. I am their French instructor. If you don't want to learn French, you can learn any other language, like Spanish, Russian, Italian, Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese, Greek, Korean, Polish, etc. any language you wish! Here is my profile page in case French is your language of interest Grin

Thank you for the compliment! The basic French course is free.... I mean the "old" course as Livemocha created Active French last year and it is more interactive, more complete, more tips and grammar! The Active French course is not free, but not expensive at all. I think you can pay per year or per month. You have to take into account that you can stay home and study at your own pace.

Also there is a chat room in Livemocha and allows you to practice languages with member from all around the world. At the end of each lesson, there are exercises to do, written and spoken. You can have a review of your exercises for free from natives as Livemocha is a huge community and everybody helps each other to learn languages. However, you may get a professional review and you have to purchase tokens to get a professional review from a Livemocha expert (like me).

Also you can purchase instructional time. You may practice conversation on skype with an instructor, or you may have a private lesson about pronunciation or grammar, anything you need!

Please note that Livemocha just launched a new program called "Gold Key". You may explore that option as it offers much more for your money.

I have a quick question - I am the sponsor and if I got pregnant will it have an impact on my spousal sponsorship? Either in a negative way or will it just prove that our relationship is genuine. I'm sure it probably wouldn't speed up the process.

End of September and still no response from Berlin. I am not sure what the hold up is. I don't want to compare my case with other cases as it'll just cause additional stress.

It won't help or hurt your application. And you're right, it won't speed up the process. It is "value neutral" so far as the application goes.

Hi, I don't think it makes a difference. I was 2 months pregnant when I sent in my app in February and we still haven't received any response from the visa office in Chile. I had a miscarriage but I still haven't told the visa office. I don't think it affects the app in any way.

Hope you hear something soon...GOOD LUCK!!

Maybe I should consider learning a language to ease my mind.... It sure is difficult to see people from April, May, June, July get PR at the same visa office... While we all wait. Nothing seems logical or fair. :-[ what a discouraging day.

Just keep positive, right? :-\

I think the reality may be even more disturbing than our darkest imaginings. At least, I know if definitely would be in the case of Kingston! ::)
