Visitor visa indian passport but have australian visa

Hi there,

Planning to travel to Canada hoping late next yr.
However, am a little worried I may not get approved.

I have an Indian passport, though I have my Australian PR application in process. I also have a Toddler that lives in his Australia. I will be travelling with a friend just to see some family member in both the states and Canada. I have a stable job that's in good standing and have sufficient funds for the estimated 3 week length stay.
Could there be a chance of refusal even though I believe I have strong ties to return to aus. Also to add i have been living in australia for roughly 10 yrs.

Of course there is a chance of refusal. If you have your Australian PR by then chances are much better.
