Yup. Quiet. I wonder if they would consider it a bribe if I sent packages of Blue Mountain Coffee to CIC? :P I think they need a boost somewhere.

I think Its worth a shot lol.

I don't know if I mentioned before but I am one of the few lucky ones that managed to get in Canada and have been "visiting" my husband while our outland buffalo app processes.

My visitor record was almost expired so we filed for an extension via mail so atleast we had the 145 days waiting to be together still. We got approval of our extension today until may 2012 so hopefully plenty of time for my PR to come... Hopefully.

Does anyone know if you can travel on the visitor record extension? I saw in another post someone was told he could travel on his to see his grandmother before she passed away. Although not life or death my mom's 50th is in November and it sure would be nice for a trip home after being gone for 8 months.

Thanks for the knowledge!

Well I can make some noise. The lawyer sent off our extra information/rebuttal letter to our IO yesterday.

Something I learnt is that if you have know the secret handshake you can do most if not all of your submissions stuff electronically. As much as I am glad we are saving a few trees I really wanted the IO to get another 10 pounds of documentation on her desk.

I hope we get some more PPR this week.

How are the rest of February doing? I would love to hear a happy landing story.

You can send that bribe to me if it doesn't work with the CIC.

I have been thinking about doing this. Since most of our communication is electronic anyways, I am going to organize some of our chat logs, webcam pics and phone records into a Word document and just send it to the embassy as a case-specific inquiry. It's coming up on 90 days since my husband's last visit, I think it's time to pile a little more proof of contact onto my IO's desktop.

We haven't landed yet, or booked a plane ticket. We mailed in the passport and they've had it for 12 days. They say they try to have them back within 15 days, not including post time, but we'll see. We're a bit worried about the photos we had to send in with the passport, as they were a right pain in the nether regions to get done... It's been 8 months and 13 days since we've seen each other. We're excited, but cautiously - just in case the photos don't meet the specifications.

I hope everyone hears something good this week!

Good luck and I hope you get it back real soon!

We're in danger of falling off the first page, LOL. Just wanted to keep us relevant, there's still plenty of us waiting from February!

Oh cool, another Singapore applicant with a decent (under the 22 months) timeline! Bangkokcanuck was done in July, now you in September. At least we know they are working. Can't say the same for some, LOL. ::)

Only thing that holding my application is the SG police. They told me they have sent it Sept 12. I called them yesterday and they "forget" to send it. I'm really disappointed considering this is Singapore. They just send it yesterday. Hopefully CIC will receive it soon.

Yup, I hope so too!

In process!! Woo Hoo! Does anyone know a timeline after in process in Buffalo?

Congratulations! Look for finalisation anywhere from 4-8 weeks or so. Could be less if they are feeling good, LOL.
