We got an email from London today with a passport request!!!!! wow I can't believe it!

We didn't receive the CSQ in the mail due to the postal strike, but from calling the Quebec Immigration we learned we were approved on June 10th. They didn't mail the CSQ until the very end of June due to the strike. We still hadn't received it up until last week so we called them and told them we had received an email from london requesting we send them our copy of the CSQ if we had received it since they hadn't. We faxed this to the Quebec Imm last Thursday who in turn forwarded a fax to London confirming we had been approved. And today I received an an email from London! Really wasn't expecting anything for a while!

We had so many delays with Mississauga initially incorrectly returning our application saying we didn't qualify as common-law and then the postal strike delaying the quebec section quite a bit!

Thanks to everyone who has helped us so far, it would be impossible without you!

That's wonderful, Crillz! I'm so happy for you, that mix-up at CPC-M and the strike messed you about, but at the very least, London has come through in fine style for you.

Yes! I don't really have any complaints about the process, a mistake was made but things went very fast once they realised! There is a huge weight off both of our shoulders!

I'm sure it is! Go on with you now, you've got things to do, haha!

I hope our visa will be issued soon! It's been in Moscow for 5 months now. According to trackitt.com it seems that most are done around the 200-230 day mark. I hope this is true!

Wondering if anyone has gotten interview requests yet?

Good Luck Everyone!!

So after sending an email asking about our file, since they received it March 11th, but we didn't get AOR or anything, I got a generic Eff off. So I waited a couple days and sent another haha. It pays to nag!

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

Your will be notified for the next stage in processing or if your file is transferred.

Also, we got the Fxxxxxxx and the Bxxxxxxx in the subject of the email. Alas, no update on eCas, but at least we know SOMEONE is looking at it. The only bad thing is our medicals expired June 29th, so we will likely need another set, which we should have gotten another one, but we had friends who did it all within 3 months, so we thought we'd be ok. Just goes to show - it pays to be paranoid and have more time than you will think you need.

After reading your post - I also decided to email Buffalo. I Sent my Application in February. Sponsor approved in March and Buffalo Received my File in March and to todays date June 20th 2011 no change in status ECAS.

I got the same response from Buffalo - my file is in processing and it is unknown when it will be completed.

It is a little frustrating that they don't update anyone's status, although I am thankful that we are at least in process. My husband and I have been "together" for 3 and a half years, but only been physically together for about 9 months in there during this process. During that time my parents separated, his mom died, my mother discovered she needs open heart surgery and moved to England (so I won't see her much), my dad got diagnosed with pre diabetes, and he may have prostate cancer.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg! But knowing that we're in process helps so much.

Like I said everyone - it pays to nag!

Haha, I wouldn't even try it with Kingston. There are still outstanding 2010 applicants on this forum, so I can just imagine the look on the IO's face if I send them an email asking them about my file which they've only had for two months. Can anyone say "file that one under Bin 13"? :P

We are a day off, Buffalo got ours Feb 1. I got my F&B # by emailing them back at the end of June and they responded with the file # , then my ecas showed In-Process a couple of days ago with July 14 on the date. Its not very consistent. Hopefully you will get an ecas update soon too!

Changed to "in-process" 17 July 2011..

Same as above,

Changed to in process as of July 17 and now showing medicals received.

Mailed in the application on Feb 8th. 2011

Now if I could only figure out exactly what that means.. other than ummmm a change on the computer screen? Haha, seriously what does the in process status actually mean? Just that someone is physically looking at it now and they will determine what to do regarding interviews and lack of proof etc.etc...
