FBI PCC

Quick question here: I have the impression that many has submit the FBI PCC thru Case Specific Inquires. However, I was requested by the CIC to submit these documents before 15th of Dec. When I log in and clicked on my application, I saw two buttons for uploading requested documents. So it was pretty straightforward as I just scanned and uploaded. I guess I was done here? Does anyone have similar experience? Is this all I have to do? No need to send Case Specific Inquires, right?

I am sharing my timeline regarding to FBI PCC for reference:
07/27 application delivered to FBI
10/20 Credit card charged
10/22 FBI mailed out the decision letter
10/26 clearance received visa USPS mail

My wife's fingerprints reached them on 1st August. On Monday (26th October) they said that it is in the final stages of processing. I am assuming this means they have started opening August batch.

08/01 application delivered to FBI
10/26 FBI confirms receipt of fingerprints (when we called and enquired)
10/28 PCC mailed via USPS. Awaiting for the delivery of the same.

If you are submitting the following docs, there is high chance that you will get an extension . I got mine for 60 days.


1) Scan copy of FBI application form (Signed)
2) Scan copy of Fingerprint ( If needed)
3) Courier Delivery confirmation receipt
4) Explanation letter for the delay( can mention the approximate time for submission)

I got an extension but due to some unknown reason, my documents were detained at the FedEx facility for more than 2 months leading to the FBI receiving the documents only 2 months after I dispatched it.

My 60 day extension is about to run out and I have submitted a CSE to the CIC requesting for another 60 day extension on my case.

Has anyone else faced a similar situation?

I'll be in the similar situation soon.. I'd applied for FBI PCC in spetember and I'm now been given a 60 day extension till December 19th.. Bu based on the timlines I may not receive the document by end of december or first week of jan...

I might have to do what you did.. requesting an extension for submitting FBI PCC...

One question... did you just raise a CSE requesting for another extension.. or did you upload another LOE in the myCIC account where we have to upload the FBI PCC..

It is better to upload the same document 2 or 3 days before the deadline date in the upload window given. That's usually done by members in this forum for extension..

I'll do that over what yogigal had mentioned.


Its very frustrating... UK and Australia and even India in this case gives you a PCC with a month max.. and has an online portal to apply... US being technologically advanced still takes ages...

Looks like there are a few babus there as well.. ???

I hadn't thought to send a backup request just in case..I'm thinking now that would probably have saved me a few months of waiting too in case the first set of prints is rejected.

I think they are opening on a daily basis but depends on the amount of work.
