Thanks!

Does anyone know of a reliable service from Massachusetts? Preferably the service whose fingerprints were accepted by FBI.

Hello, Please guide.

What sort of paper, the Fingerprinting form should be printed on ? The original form of FBI is sort of a thick paper and is available with consultants.
But for sending fingerprints on a downloaded and printed form, will simple paper is fine. I am not sure if fingerprints in that case would spread out with time.

regular white paper from any printer will do fine.

I called their customer care again, some sigh of relief after knowing the FPs were accepted and they have mailed the report today :D :-* !!
The lady on phone said she is not allowed to answer whether report mentions any criminal background or not ;D ;)
timelines:
FBI app received : 06-Jan
CC swiped : 24-Mar
Report mailed by FBI : (today) 07-Apr
ETA : +2 more weeks?

-> Can we open envelope to see FBI Police certificate before sending it to VO?
-> If for any reason report goes missing during the transit, can we request them to mail it again or one has to repeat all the steps? :(

Que to senior members - (not sure if this has been answered before / whats the latest rules say)
-> Can we open envelope to see FBI Police certificate before sending it to VO? Yes you can open it before sending to VO
-> If for any reason report goes missing during the transit, can we request them to mail it again or one has to repeat all the steps? FBI does send it once more if first one is missed, even after that, one doesn't get it, I'm afraid only way is to do it all over again. Don't worry, you will get the first one in max 6 days if you are in USA

In India we can get A4 board, that is thick A4 paper and I have printed on it. if the paper is thick, the fingerprints will be little better and chances of rejection is little bit reduced.

If you don't get this in your place, do not worry, plain paper or any high GSM paper will do

When is the PCC generally requested by VO, with RPRF fee or after that ?

If not available in time, can that be the last thing to be submitted (before PPR)?

Has anyone from group so far been requested FBI PCC by CIC ?

Its mostly requested along with MR.

How long does it take to get the PPR from NDVO after submitting FBI clearance, given that it is only the thing required to submit before PPR.

Dear Members,

Hello all,

I received my FBI PCC yesterday by the Grace of God Almighty. Here is my timeline,

10/12/2014: Fingerprints Received by FBI
20/3/2015: PCC dispatched by FBI
8/4/2014: PCC received by me

I have good news for all those who want to get the FBI PCC done, it is not as difficult as it seems. I will explain based on a question/answer format.

Common questions:

a. Can you print your FD-258 form yourself?

Yes, I printed on a normal A4 sized card paper.

b. Can you take your fingerprints yourself?

Yes, I took my fingerprints myself and they were accepted by the FBI. I took my fingerprints based on an LEE inkless pad which I purchased from Amazon and got delivered to Saudi Arabia. The inkless pad is the best option because fingerprints are very clear and crisp with it.

c. What is the procedure for taking the fingerprints?

Follow the procedure on the FBI page very carefully and watching the video below take the fingerprints on the card(I took my own fingerprints i.e. only one person was involved not two like in the video below).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7N-4UNAzsw

d. How many fingerprint cards should I fill?

Fill at least 20 cards(try to become an expert in the process). Choose the best four and send them to the FBI.

e. What return address should I fill?

I created an account with www.shopandship.com. They provided me a shipping address in the US. I collected it from Aramex office.

NOTE* I went to the local police station for the fingerprints as well. Although, their ink was much better the police was not very good in taking the fingerprints and I was not satisfied so I took the fingerprints myself at home. The Inkless pad ink is better than even the police station's. All the best guys!

One more point to be noted. My above post is for those people who cannot find a professional fingerprinting service or a decent police station where officers are very careful in taking the fingerprints. In my case I couldn't so I had to do all myself based on the above mentioned quote.
