just called...they are working on 12-Jan. Mine is 13-Jan and asked me to call back next Monday!

Just called FBI, my application is processed. They are going to mail on April 8 Wednesday.
My timeline:
Application received by FBI Jan 7. CRedit card charged march 24.

I also called just now, they said it is under final stage of processing and may be mailed by tomorrow or so. Does it mean FPs were accepted? Or do they mail for either cases..
My timelines are also similar to nepscan123.. just that app was received on 06 January.

Yeah I guess so. CIC has asked me to submit it by the end of April. First the FBI Report will be mailed to my relatives in the US and then they will send to New Delhi via FeDex so I guess I should be fine. Fingers crossed.

I have a question.
Do FBI charge the credit card the same day when they open the package or it takes some more time after that?
My file reached FBI-CJIS on 21st January. that means they have already opened the package according to previous posts.

Please advise

Varies, might not be on same day...you will have it charged by today or max tomorrow...

Varies, might not be on same day...you will have it charged by today or max tomorrow...

Call CJIS they should give you the correct information whether it's charged or not. Mine was shown on the statement same day they said they have opened the mail.

I called their customer care again, some sigh of relief after knowing the FPs were accepted and they have mailed the report today :-* !!
The lady on phone said she is not allowed to answer whether report mentions any criminal background or not ;D
timelines:
FBI app received : 06-Jan
CC swiped : 24-Mar
Report mailed by FBI : (today) 07-Apr
ETA : +2 more weeks?

Que to senior members - (not sure if this has been answered before / whats the latest rules say)
-> Can we open envelope to see FBI Police certificate before sending it to VO?
-> If for any reason report goes missing during the transit, can we request them to mail it again or one has to repeat all the steps?

Does any one know if the fingerprinting has to be done through local police station only? Will FBI accept fingerprints done through some private service? I went to the local police station and I feel the quality of the prints is not that great.

Has anyone done the finger prints through some private company? (I know CIC will not accept certificates issued by private channeler, I am just asking if I can get the fingerprints done through private service who may do it more professionally)

Does any one know if the fingerprinting has to be done through local police station only? No, you do not have to only go to local PD. You can go to any fingerprinting agency that is willing to print on the FBI approved FD-258 Fingerprint Card
