FBI IdHS received!!
My friend in the US just received my FBI report. Timeline is:
Request sent: Oct. 3rd
Received by the FBI - CJIS Division: Oct. 6th
CC charged: Nov. 24th
Search completed on: Jan. 20th
Report date: Jan. 20th
Mailed out: Not sure!
Received at US address: Jan. 24th
Good luck to all of you guys. Cheers!!
PS: the report includes:
"this does not preclude further criminal history at the state or local level"
Is that typical?!
No . I didn't receive any such statement . I got the below statement

The result of the above response is only effective for the date the submission was originally completed. For more updated information , submit new fingerprints of the subject.

I found this : "I could be wrong but I think it's just a legalese phrase they use to absolve them of responsibility if they made a mistake, like if someone had a crime record that they missed in their search. Or if someone committed a crime after the search was done."

As for the difficulty you had faced to get such a report and based upon my understanding, this is just a burocracy phrase as stated above. Do you live in US or will you travel to US after the report issuing date?

Thank you, and no! I don't live in the US anymore and I don't think I'll visit it any soon.
BTW, my report was printed on white paper (not blue). I think this is a part of the changes they undertook as of Jan. 12th
Anyone with a report dated after Jan. 12th can confirm the existence of such line on the report, please?!

Call me paranoic, insane or whatever you want.

I downloaded a fingerprint scanner to my android and scanned the wife's fingerprints on the photocopy from the form we sent to FBI and it was succesfully read. There were two that could not be read but from two different sets of fingerprints, not the same finger...I assume that if, let's say, the right middle finger is good in the upper set but bad in the lower one, there won't be any problem since they already have it, dont need to have the same fingerprint twice.
Another thing, it's a free algorithm used by an U$500,00 mobile phone with a camera in an enviroment with lighting issues scanning a photocopy of an original document. I hope FBI have a better gadget than mine :p :p :p :p :p :p

for those who want to share the insanety, the app is ICE UNLOCK

For those whose fingerprints were rejected by the FBI, how did you find out? Do they send you an email, or do you get it by postal mail? Thanks in advance for your replies.

The fingerprints are usually rejected when they scan it into the machine. You will always get a rejection letter in case your finger prints are rejected. However to save time you can call them up to find out. This would not buy you a lot of time because the finger print scanning is only about 2 weeks before you actually receive the rejection letter i.e. not a lot. That's why it is very important to submit multiple fingerprints.
