Same story here. Got prints taken at US PD. First set of prints submitted in August rejected. Sent in multiple prints again in November first week. Now waiting for them to respond, hopefully by March.

Congratulations on your second set being accepted!

By the way, my fingerprints were done at a US Police Station, so even that were taken by an expert, does not guarantee acceptance...

Guys!! Quick Update

Just called Up FBI, they are processing 6th Oct Application .
Mine is completed and they will mail it to me over the weekend and My Spouse's request is still processing in system and they are not in position to let me know if her fingerprints are accepted or not. ( They replied it should be completed by monday)

Looks like FBI is taking atleast 16 weeks to process + mail delivery time

Would they close our cases because "Your fingerprints were not accepted" or wait more 5-6 months for another report that we cannot tell whether will reach us? What if they wait...and we dont get it for the second time? Will Local VO wait one after another ? I am looking for these anwers or at least similar cases to have an idea of what to expect.

Sorry again for being so rude, I dont mean to hurt anyone . . . I am just pissed off with this long wait!

Just a thought came to my mind. My wife got her american visa a few weeks ago and has not gone to USA since then. Does it work as a waive for the FBI PCC?

Did they inform you that they'll finish processing requests received on that day on Monday?! they are still working

Hi Guys,
I recently got 30 days extension for fbi pcc submission, however, I doubt that my pcc will be received on time. My applicaiton reached to FBI on Nov 7, 2014 and new deadline to submit to CIC is Feb 23. My question is do CIC give another extension again if needed?

You can call up the FBI at (304) 625-5590 8 AM to 8 PM Eastern, Mon to Fri. Do ask them What is the receipt date of the applicants they are processing today?

Yep, at least the strategy of sending a request with multiple fingerprints and then after a week submitting a separate request with multiple fingerprints seems the most suitable one to minimize the risk of rejection and begin the process from zero after 15 weeks of initial submission

Absolutely Pepeflakes. Thats what I have been saying for the last couple of weeks. Apart from Finger print rejection there are lot of things which go wrong which I have listed out earlier. At least you don't have to start from scratch.

Ideally they have the right to close your case. If you are unable to provide a document which they have requested in a stipulated time , they can close the close. But a lot depends on the VO ( Visa office )and VO ( Visa Officer ) handling your case. Please tell them the situation you are in along with proof and I hope they will keep extending the dates.

I raised a CSE for extension of FBI PCC. They did not provide me stipulated time. They replied me saying that please provide when you receive it.

Yes. There has been cases in this forum where they have provided extension twice.

Has anyone here with visa office "CPC-Ottawa" gotten a response back for requesting a FBI PCC extension? If so, please share your time line. I have submitted a request over 3 weeks ago and my deadline has already passed as well, but no response so far. I did get an automated reply though.

Don't worry you will definitely get reply. There has been cases where they replied 2 weeks after the deadline.

My friend in the US just received my FBI report. Timeline is:
Request sent: Oct. 3rd
Received by the FBI - CJIS Division: Oct. 6th
CC charged: Nov. 24th
Search completed on: Jan. 20th
Report date: Jan. 20th
Mailed out: Not sure!
Received at US address: Jan. 24th

Is that typical?!
