I wonder if anyone took his fingerprints via live scan and got his report!
I started to question everything...

Hello Forum members!
I need your help.
I was requested for submitting my FBI PCC on December 3rd within 60 days which is February 3rd,2015.
FBI received my fingerprints on November 14th, 2014.
I requested for extension of deadline for FBI PCC to CPP-O and got this reply:

We have received your letter asking for extension to submit the FBI certificate.
According to our records, the due date to submit this certificate is on February 3, 2015.
Please send your request just before the due date, if you do not receive your FBI certificate.
Please also attach a proof of applying for it.

Now my question is !!! I do not have a proof for my application !!! CC is not charged yet!! What else can I show for proof of FBI application!

Calm down, it's OK!
They are just asking you not to rush into requesting an extension.
As I said before, wait until it's just a few days before your deadline, and then ask for it.
Please refer to a prior post of mine on requesting an extension from CPC-Ottawa.
Good luck.

I'm in the same boat as you, my deadline to send the FBI pcc to my VO is February 5, my application received by the FBI on December 4th, yesterday I sent an email to the FBI and just now I got a reply from them that the current processing time is 14 to 16 week and its early to see my application in their system, and they can't expedite any application due to the load of work
What will do I will send this email to my Vo, with the courier receipt which is a proof that I applied
I applied for the state of Illinois and received it within 2 or 3 weeks, and they didn't ask for finger prints only personal information
Hope that would help

You'll be notified by mail of the reason as to why your fingerprints were rejected
I already have got one of these
There're 4 possible reasons for rejection, they'll highlight yours
Did you take your fingerprints via ink or live scan this time?!

When you get a chance, can you please list out those four possible reasons.

L0008
the quality of characteristics is too low to be used
(determined by the FBI's Next Generation Identification Technology)
L0116
Fingerprint pattern(s) not discernible
L0117
Insufficient pattern area(s) recorded for identification purposes
L0118
Erroneous or incomplete fingerprint(s) on images; fingers or hands out of sequence; printed twice; missing and no reason given

PS: the first is the most common

Yes the information is correct. It took full 3 weeks. The time I received my report , it was mentioned on the website that it would take 12 weeks. It took exactly 13 weeks to complete my report. However they may take one more week to mail the report. In my case they took 2 days to despatch. But I have seen cases where they dspatched it after 1 full week. So the maximum time it would take to process is 14 weeks ( processing time ) +1 week ( grace period) +1 week ( for mailing the report ) +3 weeks ( to reach to the destination in India ). So total time required is 19 weeks. This is the maximum time as of now. It may decrease or increase if they change the timelines in their website.

My timelines I am posting it again

Application sent to FBI : 9th Sep
Application reached FBI : 16th Sep
CC charged : 8th Oct
Search Completed : 7th Dec
Letter Date : 17th Dec
Mail Despatched : 19th Dec
Received in India: 8th Jan 2015.

Hi,

Thanks for info, I am also keen to know who delivers USPS package in India ? How did you receive Courier or India Postal services. I am based out of Hyderabad what about you

I have not tried this, so I am not sure if this would work. I think you can consider emailing the FBI and ask them if they have received your application on Nov 14th. Once they respond, you can either forward that email or print it out and send it to the CPC. In the worst case, just send them your application tracking number.

guys,

my friend application reached on Nov 2 and his credit card is charged today. FYI

he sent from India through DHL on 27th Oct and informed that tracking from DHL could be wrong as he did not save the tracking information.

Hi p_vigsark,

I received it by Indian Post. You will have no tracking no. I have seen that people based out of Delhi get a bit earlier.

She took her fingerprints at a US FINGERPRINTING AGENCY! What else one could do to ensure that her/his fingerprints get accepted?! Cut his hands and send them to the FBI?!! Even then I doubt the FBI could reject the hands themselves!!
& instead of sending multiple requests, one could just send multiple fingerprint cards with one request. I'd understand the urge to send multiple requests if a request is limited to 1 set of fingerprints, but that's not the case!

Hi mohammed.morsy,

It is now really hard to know what is causing the rejection of the fingerprints by the FBI. Even if it gets rejected there would be one more application after one or two week. At least you don't have to wait another 14 weeks for the next one.

There are many things which may go wrong.

- FBI loosing finger prints - example : forum member terkukaiku's finger prints were lost by FBI
- Credit Card getting lost or blocked for some reasons
- Misplace / loosing the letter by the postal department. Although this has not been reported till now
- Putting incorrect address on the envelop and hence causing delay : It happened in my case for Illinois PCC. They mentioned the Street name , city and Country. But they did not put the ZIP code by mistake . The letter took 6 weeks to reach . I am thankful to the Indian Postal service as they delivered the letter without the ZIP code. The postal department wrote it by hand. I could see stampings of different post offices on the back of the envelop which made me understand that it was going in circles to different post offices across the city.

How much does it take to send one more application with new set of multiple prints. At this point , time is more valueable.
