My original deadline for submitting the FBI PCC was Nov. 22
As soon as I had applied for the FBI PCC, I requested an extension knowing for sure I wasn't going to be able to meet that deadline
They responded by email extending it till Jan. 30
But as I'm not sure yet whether I'll be able to meet that deadline or not, I think I'll just hold on till it's Jan. say 28 or so before I ask for another one
In your case I don't understand why both of you didn't apply for the FBI PCC together! I'd suggest that if you haven't requested an extension yet to ask for one, since I don't think your husband's report will be in hand before Feb. 2
If you have already got an extension, I'd suggest you wait until you get your report and submit it with a new request for an extension for your husband. I think that'd prove good faith.

I know!! My spouse was travelling and so we couldnt do it together, something that I am repenting the most right now -( Thanks for your notes, I will look them up and trigger a request for an extension. Thanks and have a good weekend!

Does FBI charge the credit card even if fingerprints were not well done and were rejected?
I saw they charged my card and wanna make sure if PCC request was approved or not.
I am asking this question because I have a doubt about my fingerprints as many people on the forum were warning not to take fingerprints alone. But I took my fingerprints home and by myself.

The first stage is to input your data and charge your CC. Then after a long wait you reach the second stage i.e. where the fingerprints are scanned into their system. Technically they can tell you at this stage if your finger prints are OK, but most of them do not. Finally the third stage is when the report gets printed. At this stage the call center guys would confirm that your finger prints were accepted.

A week or so after the CC charge (not immediately) you can only verify if they have your fingerprints. (There was a guy here who sent fingerprints and they i.e. the FBI lost it.) Thats all you can do.

I have gone through this process for over 3 months now, and I know that most call center people will not tell you if your fingerprints were rejected up till your report prints. Some (the good ones) will tell you when your report gets scanned into their system (which is about 10 days before the report prints.) The CC charge is the first step. By the time your report is scanned it is almost a month. They however may not charge you if your fingerprints are missing. This I am not sure.

Hi all,

I am going through the painful process of applying for FBI PCC. I got my finger printed but the trouble is there are quite a few white lines (small but clearly visible) in all of them. This is not because my hands are dry, have problems or anything. It has been that way for like forever. The ridges of the fingerprints are still clearly visible. I was told to stay off gluten and the situation would probably get better within a year which I can't afford. I need advice from people who have got their prints accepted or have experience on this matter. Anyone got rejected because of this or got accepted despite of this?

Also is there any email address of FBI so I could use to contact them? thanks for your help!

I took fingerprints myself and I have also permanent lines on my fingers. I believe they were accepted as my CC was charged today by FBI

Thank you for the confirmation. I asked for two copies and I saw a charge of 36 dollars. I thought everything went right.

Nevertheless, I don't think he's gonna get asked for an FBI PCC.

But CIC are saying that PCC is required from every country where you lived for 6 months in the last 10 years or since the age of 18.

they will charge before the processing. So you will be charged even rejected.

Yes, I believe yours were accepted. I contacted FBI and they were very helpful, telling me to find ridge builder to improve my print and to send up to 5 sets of prints for them to choose the best. There's no way to find ridge builder where I live so I will try to send in my sets.
