No, they change your address within 24 hours, not 2 months. I did it and many others did it as well. On their website, they have address change form that you can fill, sign, scan and email to them.

After day or two you can call them and they will confirm for you that address was changed. I have also heard that they reply to your email confirming that address was updated.

There is a new update in FBI site today..the processing time is gone up by 2 more weeks ( 12 - 14 weeks)

On September 7, 2014, CJIS installed a new IT system. As a result of this installation, we are experiencing delays in processing. Please be assured that each issue is being identified and resolved as quickly as possible, but at this time anticipated processing time for an Identity History Summary is approximately 12-14 weeks. Allow additional time for mail delivery.

I lost hope in getting FBI PCC before i leave US (Jan 31st). How do I give change of address to FBI? if i send change of address form, will they open after 2 months, like the FBI PCC application?

This is what i sent in email .Couple of weeks earlier, letter along with other documents (Med, Receipts ) were sent...

Sir,

UCI: XXXXXXXXX
Application: XXXXXXXXX
Subject: Delay in providing US FBI clearance certificate
Name Surname: XXXXXXXXXX
Name Given: XXXXXXXX
DOB: XXXX-XX-XX

I would like to draw to your attention that I haven't received US FBI clearance certificate yet, as it is being processed by them. On September 6 2014, I sent my finger prints via USPS for assessment by FBI CJIS. FBI confirmed receipt of the documents by September 15 2014. I received email from CPC asking me to furnish medical results,PCC and RPRF receipt on Sept 16,2014.

FBI CJIS states in the website, "On September 7, 2014, CJIS installed a new IT system. As a result of this installation, we are experiencing delays in processing. Please be assured that each issue is being identified and resolved as quickly as possible, but at this time anticipated processing time for an Identity History Summary is approximately 12 weeks. Allow additional time for mail delivery. "

I have stated the same when i had submitted my documents to CPC on Nov 6th,2014. The documents submitted were:
a) PCC from India
b) Fee Payment Receipt for RPRF
c) Letter explaining the reason for delay in submitting my PCC from US.

Medical examination results were submitted directly by my doctor.

As I am writing this email, it's been 10 weeks since the finger prints were originally submitted. Since the current processing time for FBI background checks have been increased from 8 weeks to 12 weeks, I would forward my results to the visa office upon my receipt of document. Therefore, i request to take my case into consideration and grant me the required extension for submission of PCC from CJIS - FBI.

Yours Sincerely.
Name

To this, i havent received any response from CPC-O authorities yet.
Good info, thanks for posting... +1 to you

Hello,

I have a question regarding FBI fingerprints. Can someone take his / her own fingerprints on the FBI fingerprinting forms and send it to FBI for the PCC report. Or should the fingerprints be taken by a law agency?

Thanks

Yes, we can take fingerprints by ourselves, But it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to go to a valid fingerprinting agency to get one.
Considering the fact that the FBI is taking 12 weeks or more to process your PCC and the chance of getting your fingerprint rejected

Thank you so much for your answer. I sent three copies just in case!! I hope they get accepted. Rejection at this time means RUIN of the whole FSW application. No more chances.

Hi All,

I called FBI and got to know that my application from Sep 16 has been processed and will be mailed soon. Has anyone from Sep 16 received back the document from FBI within USA already? Please let me know.

Cheers,

Has anyone used the services of Worldwide Forensic Services, Mississauga, ON for fingerprinting for FBI PCC?
On their website they say that they will take electronic fingerprints and get it printed on FD-258 using a FBI certified printer.

Is there anyone here who has done so, and his/her prints were accepted by FBI?

Thanks!

Hi,

I hope somebody with a similar situation can tell what could happen after PER in respect of PCC. this is my situation.

When I sent my application to CIC, my PCC submission was partial. I sent the police report only from Morocco where I have been living since late 2002.
I lived in the US from 2007 to 2002. Will FBI report be required by CIC at a later stage ( after the issue of PER ( if I am lucky). By the way my credit card got charged on 12.12.2014.

Seniors and people with similar conditions, please respond.

Thank you in advance

Yes, they will ask you to submit FBI PCC. PER is issued by CIO, Nova Scotia in Canada. This is only the first stage. In the second stage, the local Visa Office processes your application.
PCCs are a requirement of your local visa office in Morocco.

@Giftsmas
You have taken your own prints - which is risky. In my case, even with certified fingerprint technicians having taken my prints, they have been rejected twice by FBI for their quality.

You might want to see if you could get printed by your local law enforcement agency or any other fingerprint technician.

Thank you guys for answering my question. I will try to do it with the local police and I hope they can do that for me. By the way I did a mistake on my stay in USA it was from 1997 to 2002 not 2007 as I mentionned. even the time passed more than 12 years, is FBI fingerprints still required. By the way I called FBI a few minutes ago and I was informed they are working on requests received on October 16th.

Cheers and thanks again.

I got my extension for 30 days but seems like based on the current speed I would not be able to make that deadline either.

Has anybody else faced same issue on the forum? Have they got another extension?

I am tensed, this FBI certificate is killing me.
