Update on my FBI PCC -

Sep 30th applicant, CC chargd on Nov 05' 14; just got to know that the request was completed yesterday and the cards were NOT legible. Will have to re-do this entire process and there is NO WAY this can be expedited -( Feeling gutted right now....this is absolutely disgusting !!! Have already requested for an extension to CIC and not even sure if anymore will be granted based on this recent update!!!

(P.S - Got the fingerprints from an agency to eliminate the risk of not being accepted).

Update on this - I received the official communication from FBI today and as predicted the reason is the first and most common one "L0008
the quality of characteristics is too low to be used (determined by the FBI's Next Generation Identification Technology)". Thanks!

I requested for Illinois state PCC in Nov, here is what I did:
1. Go to their web page www.isp.state.il.us/crimhistory/chri.cfm
2. Find the link to request the fingerprint conviction information request form ISP6-404B
Input your information e.g. Name, address. The form was sent to me via USPS Mail. The form has a reference number.
3. I went to my local police to complete my fingerprint and sent it back to Illinois state police via courier
4. Processing time is about 10-14 working days. You can call them and give them the reference number to check status.
5. The thing is after the processing time, the PCC was sent to me but after two weeks I hadn't received it so I called them and requested them to resend it to me via Fedex. After that about 3 weeks, I got the first PCC and found that there are no post code and country on the envelop! That's why it delayed.

By the way, i suggest you go through the request process on the web page and call them (they are quite helpful) whether you can send self-addressed envelop or pre-paid Fedex envelop along with the request form.

Hope this could help.

I mentioned this in one of my previous post that I received my ILLINOIS PCC after 6 weeks. They did not put the ZIP code. It seems they do not put the ZIP code and leave it on the mercy of the postal system to crack the case. ???

My last date of submitting FBI PCC was 10th Jan 2015. I waited till 5th Jan 2015 and raised a CSE. But on 8th Jan 2015 I received the FBI PCC. I immediately sent it and it was received by NDVO on 9th Jan 2015.

Yesterday ( 21st Jan 2015) I received a reply of the CSE stating that " Please submit FBI PCC when you receive it " . They did not provide me any deadline .

I have already submitted by FBI PCC on 9th Jan 2015. So I replied them saying that I have submitted. Is there anyone who is in a similar situation from NDVO ?

Hi All....I urgently need some advise from the seniors in this forum...
I live in UAE and my son studying in an university in Atlanta. He is 18+ and needs to apply for FBI PCC...
Can anyone advise how to apply FBI PCC in Atlanta city?

Hi shobasrin,

The procedure is the same no matter from whereever you stay or send the request. Take a printout of the finger printing card from the FBI website. Go to an expert and get the finger printings done. Take multiple prints.. Make a certified cheque / money order and send it to them.

Hi Destinationca,

Did you send one more request to the FBI ? Please sent multiple prints. Also write a explanation letter telling them to expedite. I know it won't work but there is no harm in trying. Give them all the details about your deadline to submit , it was rejected earlier etc.

Also send one more request with multiple set of prints after a week. This is just a back up. There has been cases where FBI lost finger prints.

Do prints of all fingers have to meet the criteria ? Say, prints of 3 or 4 fingers/thumb are considered fine by them, will they give the pcc ?

Secondly, did you get the prints at an expert's place or did you do them yourself ?

Hey buddy,

Mine is 15th October, two days before you. We are actually entering the 13th week. This is so frustrating, they always ask 2 weeks, 2 weeks, 2 weeks....no matter when you call. My deadline is getting closer and I dont really know how this is gonna end up, on the top of that we dont even know if fingerprints were accepted.

Hold tight!

I know >:( >:(... this is really frustrating... I hope they start processing faster and stick to their estimated timelines mentioned in their website.
This is 14th week now and they still have not processed our applications.
I got my fingerprints done by a professional agency. But I still am nervous to see if mine would be accepted. ??? ??? ???

On a side note,
Did anyone was able to submit state PCC to CIC and had their fbi pcc waived off?
I stayed in 3 states and would need all 3 PCC's

if you stayed for 4 months they wont ask you for fbi. dont put urself in risk here.
FBI pcc will delay you application process by 4-5 months.
dont worry for 4 months

@akashsar - Thanks for your note, I have already mailed out 2 cards last week itself. Per FBI, it cannot be expedited due to any reason.
