According to the CIC website

Option 2:

For U.S. citizens and permanent residents only: you may apply to an FBI-approved channeler (a third party that helps deliver your information to the FBI). They will collect your application form, fingerprints, any fee(s), and give them to the FBI.

Once the FBI completes their background check, they will send the results to the channeler. The channeler will then give you your record check letter.

Please include the FBI letter with your application, and send us the complete package.

I noticed this because I went back to the website because my mothers fingerprints where rejected by the FBI even though we had a professional do the fingerprints, meaning we would have another long wait. Can anybody say they have used this? I know specifically they were saying this was not an option, but now it seems to be on the table?

Is your mother a US citizen or permanent resident? If the answer is NO then she cannot take the FBI channeler route. If YES then take this option.

I called yesterday and they are processing March 18th and opening March 20. Mine is still one month ahead :/

Hi seniors,

I got extension from IRCC for FBI PCC submission. Now I have two upload buttons/fields in my PR application (old and new upload option).

I have received FBI PCC, and I will use new upload option to submit FBI PCC.

I have also received updated employment reference letter. I am creating a CSE to include this in my application.
Since CSE takes at least 15 days to take effect, I wan to use "old upload option for FBI PCC" to submit my employment reference letter (with a LOE).

Is that workable idea? Will it anger IRCC ? any issues with that ?

I just called FBI Customer Service. They told me they are processing 22-Mar-2016, and opening 24-Mar-2016 today.

thanks for the update, they received mine on April 6th so I still got some time to go.

2nd deadline and your request reached PCC on 9th June? Am I missing something? Were your earlier prints rejected? This the best thread to get an idea. You are looking at roughly 1st or 2nd week of September for FBI to process your application.

I have received FBI PCC and submitted on 09 June. Now waiting for next step on my eAPR by IRCC.

Opening packages delivered on March 28th. Ours was on the 28th, I was asked to call back in 3 days since processing takes 3 days.

They charge when they start processing, they are just opening the 28th today, so expect a charge in a few days.
