Hi! Does anyone ever have had an experience with proceeding to MR while waiting for FBI PCC? Or does the VO have to wait for the submission of FBI PCC before requiring medical check? I already paid my RPRF and submitted other required additional documents. Thanks in advance for any reply to this... Good luck to us all!

We underwent medicals and paid d fee first..have to submit FBI pcc once we get it,we got an extension for two months to submit the pcc..now still waiting..

Opening packages April 14 the and processing April 4 th.

Thanks nskatcv for answering my questions. Since I have relocated to Malaysia, I could not locate any livescan services near my area. I pray and hope my third attempt will be successful. SGVO did not give me an extension deadline but I did raise a CSE and received a reply to inform them again if there is any delay.

All the best to you and your family!

Thanks harirajmohan,

1st set was from local police station, ink prints taken by an (untrained) police officer in a hurry.

2nd set was from the state police headquarters, ink scan from professional print takers. They were good, but the person who did mine didn't use fresh ink for each finger as did the lady who did my wife's prints. Result, mine were light and must have gone lighter after sitting at FBIs for 3 months.

3rd set (for myself) was an electronic live scan done at the state police headquarters, and then printed on FD-258 paper. The attendant told me if the software accepts it here, it will be accepted at FBI too. But they use electronic scan only if your ink prints have been rejected earlier. I showed them the FBI rejection letter.

Hi kwyatt75,

CIC gives 2 months during first request. Then they gave me a two month extension upon requesting. Then another one month extension which is to expire at the end of this month. They will keep giving it until you submit. One just need to email Ottawa office for that.

Thanks happyca,

Already answered above about the scans. As for state PCC, CIC does NOT accept it. They explicitly said in response to my request to consider state PCC instead. They want FBI PCC, howsoever long it takes. All the best to you too.

Good to know that. Both sets of my fingerprints had been rejected and I had lived in 3 US states. I had requested 2 state pcc and waiting on getting the third one from CA but they require fingerprints as well. Anyways, thanks for posting. This gives me hope.

As for the comments above on State PCCs being accepted, mine were accepted by CIC and I have received my COPR.
My first FBI rejection was in November (I am an October applicant), the second one was rejected in January and the third one was rejected in April. I sent state PCCs (resided in 4 US states over the last 8 years) along with a letter from the local PD as well as copies of all 3 rejections. My 4th FBI print got charged last week but I received my COPR and stamped passport yesterday.

I did not ask them to accept the state PCCs, I just said that here are the 3 rejections and here are my State PCCs. I have applied for another one and do not expect to hear back before June. Please grant me 3 additional months. I received my MR in March.

I might have been lucky but if you keep getting rejections, try to get state PCC and send as well as try to get additional FBI PCC.

Thanks much for sharing... So there is a possibility that they can request my medical check while waiting for my FBI PCC. Goodluck!

Not all are sending the scanned prints and many out of them get accepted from the ink ones. So there is possibility to get accepted this time. Good luck on your third application buddy.

I thought VO will give extn if its genuinely receiving rejections but surprised to hear that sgvo is not ready for extending third time. Was it third extn or the second one? Was the cse raised with cic directly?

All,
I still dont get the point on too dry and too moist? Is it too light prints and too dark prints respectively?

Hello all,

I received my FBI PCC yesterday by the Grace of God Almighty. Here is my timeline,

10/12/2014: Fingerprints Received by FBI
20/3/2015: PCC dispatched by FBI
8/4/2014: PCC received by me

I have good news for all those who want to get the FBI PCC done, it is not as difficult as it seems. I will explain based on a question/answer format.

Common questions:

a. Can you print your FD-258 form yourself?

Yes, I printed on a normal A4 sized card paper.

b. Can you take your fingerprints yourself?

Yes, I took my fingerprints myself and they were accepted by the FBI. I took my fingerprints based on an LEE inkless pad which I purchased from Amazon and got delivered to Saudi Arabia. The inkless pad is the best option because fingerprints are very clear and crisp with it.

c. What is the procedure for taking the fingerprints?

Follow the procedure on the FBI page very carefully and watching the video below take the fingerprints on the card(I took my own fingerprints i.e. only one person was involved not two like in the video below).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7N-4UNAzsw

d. How many fingerprint cards should I fill?

Fill at least 20 cards(try to become an expert in the process). Choose the best four and send them to the FBI.

e. What return address should I fill?

I created an account with www.shopandship.com. They provided me a shipping address in the US. I collected it from Aramex office.

NOTE* I went to the local police station for the fingerprints as well. Although, their ink was much better the police was not very good in taking the fingerprints and I was not satisfied so I took the fingerprints myself at home. The Inkless pad ink is better than even the police station's. All the best guys!

This post was posted earlier as well. FYI. Regards.
