My candid advice here is for you to use immigration lawyer such as Cohen, people in this forum will ask you not to
but when the chips are down you will require them.

Re: dependent

friends

My brother is a Biochemist in India and have 2 yrs of experience and got enough points to apply. He sent his application on 13th Dec 2011 to sydney,Nova scotia under the category 2121 biologists and related scientists. He is still waiting, as DD has not been charged.

Does he has a chance to get selected within 500 cap, as when he sent his application the cap was 370 :o :o :o :(.
how long do you think he should wait or should contact new delhi visa office or CIO about status. what is the email address of CIO for asking status of the application.

Hey all, my document will be ready in almost a week, (NOC 7241). Not worried about the NOC cap, but the overall cap:10000 is a little risky! do you think I can send my documents by then, or the overall cap will be reached??? :'(

You can find the NOC list here. It is the same one that was posted on July 1st 2011. A new one is not expected until July 1st 2012.

on the cic website i have found this

On January 31, 2012, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and Statistics Canada replaced the 2006 edition of the National Occupation Classification (NOC) with a 2011 version. For the purposes of the Federal Skilled Worker Program list of eligible occupations, new applicants are advised to refer to the HRSDC website for the latest job descriptions and duties for each NOC.

what is this all about Leon ?

thanks

The National Occupation Classification (NOC) is a system giving every occupation a 4 digit code and describing their job duties. That is what has been changed. You can see it at http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/Welcome.aspx (still has 2006 in the name but it will take you to the new one). I have no idea which descriptions they have changed.

The changes to the NOC have however absolutely nothing to do with the list of 29 most wanted by immigration. The list of 29 most wanted NOC's was published on July 1st 2011 along with its CAPs. The CAPs will be reset July 1st 2012 and if they change the list, they will most likely do it then too.
