I sponsored my mom and she got PR in march 2017.
This year we applied for my wife'sparents.
My mom lives with us. Total members in canada are 3(no kids)
How many members do i declare on my wife’s application for her parents.
4 or 5?
She is principal applicant for her parents PR sponsorship. She is the their only child.

Please help

She would need to meet LICO in 2015/2016/2017 for family size of 5 if she was a co-signer on your mom's app, or if you will co-sign her parents app

If she was not a co-signer on your app, and you are not co-signing her app, then her family size is 4.

This is something you should have confirmed before entering the lottery.

Thanks rob. I understand the concept. Please check did i get it right.

So if my income is involved for my wife’s parents application my mom is also involved in application indirectly because she is living with us even though she is permanent resident.
If my wife never used my income she could go with 4 members right?

You signed a 20 year undertaking for your mom, so she is counted in your own family size all that time.

If you wife doesn't use you as a co-signer, AND she didn't co-sign your mom's app (so she would also have signed your mom's undertaking), then yes it would only be 4 members for her own parents app. She of course could then only use her own income, and not yours, for past 3 years. You can't be added later as a co-signer unless your family size changed (i.e. if you have a child).
