My wife and family landed in Canada on June 29th, 2011 (one of our kids was born in Canada). We lived in Canada a year and a half (in different intervals) and have been living abroad since. We want to return and stay at least for 3 years straight and we have the following couple of questions:
1. Do we have to return before June 29th, 2016 (landing date) or before the expiry date of the permanent card (October 9th, 2016)?.
2. If my family returns before June 29th, 2016 but I have to continue working abroad for a while, can I apply for a tourist Visa after June 29th, 2016 to travel and visit them? What are the chances to have such Visa?
3. If I apply for a Tourist Visa would I impact their process of either renewing the PR status or becoming citizens in the future?.
4. The company is planning to send me to Canada to work but only until Jan 2017, would create any problem that my family will be living in Canada without still a new valid resident card?
5. As I was the main applicant provided my family fulfill all the requisites would them still be entitled to become citizens despite the main applicant did not fulfill the requisites, is this correct?
Thanks a lot for your help providing us your advise.
