hi
i would like to extend my stay (i have PR app, outland, still waiting for any info), and i am wondering if i should say in questionnaire:
How long are you planning to stay in Canada? Temporarily - less / more than 6 months

I wanna stay more, but probably I will leave Canada for a while during next few months.
Should I then say "less than 6 months" or "more"? Generally, I wanna wait for PR, and if granted - live here of course, so probably "more" is correct answer. Does it matter for the application?
thanks :)

edit:
and one more question:
should i put Canadian address as residential address? i am here now as a tourist, visiting my spouse, so I am not sure, as I do not live here... yep, always confused with proper terminology ;)

Well, normally a person would request something like 1 year, and `take' whatever CIC determines (which is often 1 year, with a PR application submitted), but..

Since you are planning to leave Canada soon, it would be a waste, since when you leave, your visitor status resets when you return to Canada; you will be re-assessed by CBSA and will be allowed to enter and stay, at their discretion.

Doesn't really help to answer your question, I know, so...have fun with it! LOL!

(IMHO, asking for 1 year> receiving it> not using it, might make future 1 year requests (if you need one) more difficult to obtain)

Yes, you can use your husband's Canadian address as your own for the extension request.

Also, the information that I provided regarding CBSA assessing a traveler upon returning to Canada, to determine their length of stay, would be for a traveler that is from a visa-exempt country.

ok, next question

could you advice me what can i say, when they ask how much money in CAD i have? we don't have any savings, i have remote job in my country, but this job will be paid in next months, and my spouse has job, but we can basically show only pay stubs.
so, i don't know what amount (they want it in CAD) should i write, as there is no concrete amount i can tell them.
please, help... ;)

same situation - outland apply.
I sent photocopies of my husband pay stub (two of them) and bank balance of my bank account (wasn't much around CAD $1000) no extra income in/outside Canada.
didn't send photocopy of my husband bank balance.

FYI: to prove I am waiting for my PR, I also sent photocopy of sponsor approval email from CIC.

got one year.

i just got one year visa extension approved on April 1st. I attached the receipt of our out land application fee since we haven't got our AOR yet, there's not much we can provide them as a prove we did apply for PR. I provided our joint account amount as the financial support (only 2000), and the annual calculation of his pay, our wedding certificate. It wasn't as complicated as applying for PR, and since you applied for PR as well, you should have no problem uploading the medical exam that will make your application more complete than those who don't provide and easier to get the visa approved!
