extending USA visitor visa

Hi All,
my kid is USA citizen and I will be sponsoring her when i land in Canada. I am a PR of Canada.
Current timelines for sponsoring is showing as 19 months
Is it easy to keep extending her visitor visa every 6 months? Or will I have to take her outside of country and come back? Does CPC will give her an extension of more than 6 months, if I explain my situation?

Or is there a way by which I can apply for her a longer duration of visitor visa before arriving in Canada.

It should only take six months since you are sponsoring a child. You should have no issues getting an extension.
