Message- Permanent Residence Authorized- but file won't open
Hello All,
Hoping I can get some help here. I had a ghost update last week through email. Opened my account to find nothing really changed except one new message.
Message title says- Permanent Residence Authorized but the file itself won't open no matter how many times I try using different computers, servers, cellphones etc.

Can anybody tell me what 'Permanent Residence Authorized' means? And what could be my current application status?

Thanks in advance!
Naveen

Hello Everyone,

I am a CEC applicant.
After biometrics somehow my name is appearing twice in the application “ABCD, ABCD”

should i raise a webform to correct this or they will correct it themselves?
Is your name fixed yet or not? I have same issue?

Thanks for the post! I have a question regarding of profile.

when I make a profile for EE, should I write down every work history since I came to canada? Or just write down what I need for score which is in 3 years.

For example, i work at A company : 2 month (more than 3years ago) and at B company : 2y 6months (in 3year). Can I just write down only B company on work history ?

Thank you in advance !

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.
when is the application fee paid? is it when you first enter the pool?

Hi guys,
I have a question about years of work experience and hope to get some help here.

I have worked at a job for 2.5 years and consider to looking for another job that have the same NOC with my current one. Does it count as 3 years of working experience if I only work for this new company for 0.5 year when I apply for Express entry?

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

One of my friend's is planning to apply for express entry for Ontario. While checking the eligibility the IRCC website is asking if she has experience in the following categories:

In the last five years, do you have at least two years of experience in one of these types of jobs (skilled trades)?
  • industrial, electrical and construction trades (NOC codes that start in 72)
  • maintenance and equipment operation trades (NOC codes that start in 73)
  • supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture and related production (NOC codes that start in 82)
  • processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators (NOC codes that start in 92)
  • chefs and cooks or (NOC codes that start in 632)
  • butchers and bakers (NOC codes that start in 633
Will she get additional points (under 67 pass mark/CRS) if she can show experience in any of the above categories? If yes, how many points will she get? Will there be any other benefit for showing experience in this? If yes, what will that be?

Appreciate if you could please provide links to IRCC web pages where this is addressed.

Many thanks!

You are mixing two programs with different criteria.

1. Is she eligible for Express Entry? Looks like she is hoping to immigrate through the Federal Skilled Trades Stream so what is her NOC. She doesn’t get extra points for the jobs listed unlesss she is provincially certified in a trade. Also to be eligible, she needs to have a
  • valid job offer of full-time employment for a total period of at least 1 year or
  • certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial or federal authority
Does your friend have either?

2. For Ontario’s EE FST stream she needs one year of work experience in Ontario. Is she working in Ontario?

Thank you for your reply.
My friend does not have any Canadian certification or experience.

The questions came up in the website when she started checking her eligibility for EE here https://onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca/c2c/eapp.do
In the above link she wanted to know what to enter as she has experience in one of the skilled trades in India for two years. She wanted to know if she'll get extra points for the experience in India.

If in a NOC A, B or 0 job she can claim for Federal skilled worker stream. There are no extra points.

Hi Experts,

I have a query. My wife's sister is based in Canada and is now a Citizen. But, we are not claiming points for that (Do not have Birth Certificate etc. to submit). I received my ITA. The issue is that when filling in my Wife's FAMILY DETAILS, if we enter her sister's details showing her to be in Canada, the system automatically adds 15 points and will subsequently ask us to upload supporting documents. What is the way out? We cannot skip entering her details either. Please suggest.
Thanks.

Regards

I have applied for FSW program in express entry and I have a query regarding showing work experience. My current work in NOC 2151 is from Jan 2019 (2 years - 3 months) . Before that I worked from July - December 2018 (6 months) in same NOC. I also had a paid internship during my undergraduate program from June - September 2016 (4 months). What my query is that the paid internship was a part of my undergraduate program so, can I consider it for my FSW program? With the help of my 4 months of paid internship, I am able to complete my 3 years of work experience and it helps me get much more points for my profile in express entry.
Please anybody can throw some light on this and help?

Yes you can count the internship if skilled. You will need mandatory employment letters for the jobs.
