It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.
I have received provincial interest letter from PEI on 8th August under EE profile. FYI...I don't have profile with PEI neither I have submitted EOI with them.
The letter asks to contact PEI directly for further instructions but they have not given any contact information on the letter so I searched PEI's phone number and called them to ask about further processing, all they asked me to do is send an updated resume and they will get back to me.
Has anybody experienced this or I am the only one with this unique procedure?
If yes, what would be next after sending out my resume?

Hello! I need help with regards to paying my application fees online for Federal Skilled Labour under Express Entry.

I have completed my application and signed electronically for submission. When I was directed to the payment page, it went offline. Later, when I signed in to my profile and again tried to submit my application, there was no button available under action (under continue an application you haven't submitted). Therefore, I have no option to pay my fees.

Please help me. Thanks.

I am not quite sure of the kind of questions you may be asked. However, you can google it up for your understanding. I would suggest you to just relax and go. This is not an exam where you have to give all the right answers. Just be honest and don't sound too confused. They would just check on your personality and reasons why you chose Ontario as your destination from all the other provinces.
Thanks for your reply

Hi All,
I am creating EE profile but I have a question for you guys and I think maybe you can help me out. Currently, I am working in Canada last 2 and half years with LIMA exception and my wife has an open work permit.

During work permit application I have mentioned my wife's educational qualification and work experience (from India) but in EE I didn't mention her education and work experience because to get ECA for her will cost and make it complicated and same for work experience! My question whether it will create any problem in my PR application or not? Or I should mention her educational qualification without ECA and work experience, and once receive ITA, include LOE?

Please advise.
Thank you

Dear All,

Please I have the following questions around my EE as I will like to start the registration ASAP.

1. WilI I be required to get reference letter from only my current employer or from all the places I've worked?

2. What NOC code would benefit the best for me as I have 7 years experience as IT Support Specialist then recently I passed MCP: Achitecting Microsoft Azure Solutions aand MCP Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations?

3. Can I start Canada job search / create my job profile on jobbank or I must submit express entry first?

4. What is the best organization to use for my ECA as a Nigerian?

5. Will I pay any fee while submitting my express entry?

Thanks all.

Hi All,

I am submitting my transcripts for ECA as a main applicant.. While there seems to be quite a lot of delay with my spouse transcript to arrive and Her ECA will be delayed too.

Should I go ahead creating my EE profile or wait for my spouse ECA to complete..? How does it work and calculating final Combined CRS for me to be in pool?

Please advise..
