Hi All,
I have a break in my work experience in Canada I worked for approx 7 months in 2014 travelled back to India and returned in mid 2015,I created my express entry profile sometime in August (had one year of work experience at that time) so was awarded 35 points ..now i have completed 2 years of experience the additional points for 2nd year experience (25 points) is still not updated in my profile. My understanding is that CIC considers cumulative experince..Has anyone encountered similar issue..please advise

I haven't entered the pool yet. CIC says continuous work experience while people on the forum say cumulative. I will know once I enter the pool and points are calculated.

Incorrect."Work experience need not be continuous under the CEC." http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/cec/work.asp

What about FSWP? Is that continuous or cumulative?

You need at least one year of full-time continuous work experience (among other requirements) http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

To be very precise..I worked for 7 months in 2014 went on maternity leave for almost 5.5 months and then got back to work with the same employer..I was told that maternity cannot considered as Work Experience as I obtained EI from the government. So in my profile I have one entry for the period of 7 months in 2014 and then from mid 2015 to Till date,Please advise if this correct and will the entire 25 months taken into account for the CRS points calculation.I have reported a Technical Issue but no response yet

Time actually worked will be counted, you wont get points for mat leave.

Iam of the same understanding but my profile reflects only 35 points for my Canadian work experience..I expect an additional 25 points as I have completed 2 years as of Dec 1st..Iam aware that points are credited/debited in the prior month..I reported a technical Issue but they mentioned that said points are reflective of the information I have submitted..tried calling the call center web forms is the only way..since the points have not been added I ITA was missed in the previous draw. Please advise

I just received my Spouse's ECA from WES (BSc 4 yrs) and made the necessary updates. For some reasons i do not understand, my points did not increase as expected by 8 points. Any ideas?

Wait 24 hours

I had the same issue and wrote here about it. It was about 20 hours or so later when I noticed it updated.
